Oh Im sorry, I didnt realize that since you were a professional bass player you could judge other peoples abilities without even meeting or hearing them play, which is amazing btw. Hes not Tom Morello actually innovating with the guitar itself, hes playing with feedback. Personally, I think effects make an underachieveing solo sound a little better because it masks the simplicity.
