it take 12 bullets for the br to kill a target who has full sheild. since the br has 3 bullet burst aim first 3 pulls---9 bullets--- at center mass---bigger target less chance of miss--- than one pull at head bc it could take up to 2 pulls more if you aim at the body for final shot after first 3. in a fire fight the noob wont be standing still. no matter what it take 3 pulls to take down shield and even though you cant see it you have health points

dude every one knows it takes 3 shots to the body and one to the chest. its also smarter because if you aim to the head you might miss more shots in a battle than you will aiming for the body thus making it a lot of more damage to your opponent
i believe it is because the battle rifle moves up during the 3 shot burst, so by the last ( of the 3 burst ) it will hit the head and you only need 1 bullet to hit the head when sheilds are down, not all 3 of the burst... for people who may not know

8 bullets hit body for loss of a Large portion or shield.
3 bullets which are recoil from gun hit head shield.
But the last bullet always hit him in the head from the 4 trigger pull of the 3rd bullet from a chest shot.

it take 12 bullets for the br to kill a target who has full sheild. since the br has 3 bullet burst aim first 3 pulls---9 bullets--- at center mass---bigger target less chance of miss--- than one pull at head bc it could take up to 2 pulls more if you aim at the body for final shot after first 3. in a fire fight the noob wont be standing still. no matter what it take 3 pulls to take down shield and even though you cant see it you have health points

i believe it is because the battle rifle moves up during the 3 shot burst, so by the last ( of the 3 burst ) it will hit the head and you only need 1 bullet to hit the head when sheilds are down, not all 3 of the burst... for people who may not know

@MrCarolinaMuzik your a fool. thats not true, ive heard scrubs like you tell me that before. you probably got some lucky 3 shots for a few reasons. 1. you have a very very strong host. 2. the player already got 1 shot, and then their shields recharged (people dont realize you actually have health in halo3 , you just dont see it , it lowers every time you get 1 shot) 3. you could have been playing customs with low health or something. 3 leg shots WILL NOT kill anyone. ever.
