Many societies in the world regard mental and physical disabilites as a stigma.

Most of these children have families who did not want them because they feel they would be talked about and ridiculed. They get no support, never understand how much some of these children are really capable of achieving.

Institutions all over the world are bad. The real tragedy is that with government help most of these children would not need to be there in the first place.

the solution is to find these children placed into smaller homes immediatly. about 12 per unit. They will need to improve this situation, as this country did in the 80's with care in the community. aswell as being placed with families.

The carers need a tea-break and respite too!

Nothing will change until carers are educated and qualified in this specialised field of care and the monies are allocated to this area.

A child with severe S.L.D. and autism knows when they are loved and cared for.
