  • Vivaldi is one of my favourite composers. I truly love this piece from the very start until the end of it!

  • this piece is so beautiful. my fav part shall be at 2:48. love it so much. i love Vivaldi.

  • @zeyge77 I don't really like getting into any kind of debates but I had to comment. As my teacher often tells me, being simple doesn't make it easier. In fact, because the concerto it not as challenging because of the notesor the positions it leaves more room to really play the piece beautifully, and that is the really hard part. Honestly, maybe Elgar's concerto and Vivaldi's concerto are almost the same in difficulty, just different kinds of difficulties.

  • 4 people are colorblind in the brain.

  • Does someone have any information on that painting?

  • CHE MERAVIGLIA ! ! ! ! !

  • I don't really get how this turned into a debate over whether Elgar concerto or this Vivaldi is harder, but I can't resist commenting. Elgar is harder. In every way. This whole concerto is about 12 minutes and barely makes it above 4th position. Elgar is at least twice as long and poses some really difficult technical challenges. and yes length counts - developing the stamina to play romantic concertos takes time. Of course playing ANYTHING beautifully requires significant skill & musicianship.

  • @zeuge77

I have to agree, but I still love Vivaldi.

  • This is beautiful. I love Vivaldi.

  • I still reckon Elgar is harder, I might be a bit weird

  • Does any one know where I can get the sheet music for this?

    It's absolutely beautiful.

  • a music shop is usually a good place to start...

    just putting it out there

  • hahahhahahahahhaa, i lol'd when i read this

  • How comes you all agree in saying this is far easier than elgar´s? It certeanly is if you only think about notes, but phrasing, rethoric, diction, different voices treatment, harmonic functions awareness... are much harder in a baroque piece like this. I would say Elgar´s more difficult in the hands, but this one is harder within the brain.

  • Elgar has some difficult phrasing too. Generally, I just try not to compare pieces, they all bring something different out in a player.

  • hell yeah... QUITE a difference...

    depends what u want to...

i suggest to do the barroque one first...gives u a excellent bow school

  • I've got to choose a cello concerto to play and I'm trn between this one and Elgar's Cello concerto :S

  • Both pieces are exquisite.

  • Quite a big difference!! =)

  • in terms of difficulty, this one is far easier than the Elgar if that helps.

  • i think elgar sounds really good especially the way JDP played it

  • this is FAR easier than the Elgar :)

  • which one did you go for? Vivaldi or Sir. Elgar?

  • @lilXelle So which one did you choose?

  • beautifull concert!!! Very impresiv

  • This is one of my favorites now!

    Go Vivaldi!

  • great, really. I like this one the most.
