  • Is it the hardest part install for the swap ?

  • @nomorev6 It can be a pain if its not installed right or aligned right. I would say the whole swap is difficult since there's nothing written in stone for it (no installation instructions).

  • Did you swap the timing cover or is there pulley setup you found?

    I wonder how much louder the Terminator would be? This one sounds great, Im trying to find out where I can buy a SSS cat-back for my '03 Cobra with the IRS?? Any idea if the even make it for Cobra's?

  • @Sweet83GT I believe its a good bit louder, kinda like the difference between an SLP LM1 and the LM2. Last I heard John the in the process of making a kit for the 03-04 cobras and it was a month or 2 out for being ready, I heard this in the last week or so. Im gonna try to get a hold of him and get back to you on here.

    That would be so awesome if you could!!! Im in the market for a nice cat-back and would really love to buy a SSS for my cobra. I just see myself spending $800 for a Borla... Man, do I ever want to get a SSS cat-back!! YOur MACH sounds amazing with it and Im sure those Kooks dont hurt it either.

  • @blown06tc I'm no dreamer. Its not mine and I don't care. I just like GTO's better than Mach's. I own an 05' quicksilver 6M with some mods. Saving up for the Magnuson by next spring. Plan on trampling some force inducted ponies. I'm more worried about KenneBell and whipple Cobra's, GT500's then eaton Machs sorry. Good job on the Mach BTW. Not really a hater, just love to ruffle Ford Fanboy feathers. It's so easy..lol

  • @Ensilvanation Your hating ain't ruffling any feathers here fanboy. Only worried about KB or Whipple cobras or GT500s?? You better get off that cloud, simple pullied cobra can outrun Maggie GTOs. I love the way they make N/A power but the Maggie setups are somewhat of a letdown for the price, I mean comeon almost 6k for a hair over 450whp?? Thats weak, stick with N/A, heads/cam and you're golden, simple and cheap. Im barely pushing this car, the tune is VERY safe, and on stock pulley and blower.

  • @blown06tc And we're not even talking about a GT500. Who cares really, its not like the eaton is the only blower available for mustangs. I just dont think the Maggie blower is the most cost effective way to make power on a GTO, maybe the blower is too small and inefficient.

  • @blown06tc I have headers, full exhaust, Cai, 25 %pulley, tstat, higher ratio roller rockers, rip shifter, racing plugs and wires, and custom tune, and I've pulled on stock cobras, and run pretty close with my buddies "pullied 03 Cobra". I magnuson can boost HP #'s as high as 125 HP over current with the right supporting mod's and tune. So yeah Im not worried about the 6k pricetag, plus the polished steel finish looks sweeeettt. So i don't know where you get 450whp from.

  • @Ensilvanation Im telling you because I've seen it myself, putting down 458whp at 7psi fully tuned on the same dyno I made my pulls and I've had a previous magnuson GTO owner(currently owns a cobra) tell me if he could do it all over it would be N/A and that they are low 12 sec cars with traction, thats easily pullied cobra numbers at most likely a higher trap. I personally aren't scared of them, now a procharged one is a different beast, if you're set on boost then go that route.

  • @blown06tc ok but what did this GTO have done beforehand? Was he stock? Was it an LS1 or LS2? I put 406whp now N/A with my current mods. Theres no way even with the minimal 7psi am I only gonna put 458 whp. Im sorry Im just not buying that. Procharger isn't a far possibility though.

  • @Ensilvanation LS2 with exhaust (no headers) and tune (after the blower install). Of course if you install a cam or do headwork the output will be higher, but Im referring to a stock vehicle with the kit. Im sure there are plenty of videos of LS2s with maggies on this website that shows numbers in this area but Im referring to what I've seen in person. Also 406whp sounds a bit inflated for a bolt on LS2, either by the dyno or there are other mods you're not posting

  • @blown06tc Well think about it a stock ls2 is 400 at the crank. It loses 17% to the wheel so stock your putting down about 330, give or take lots of things effect that.. Coated Long tube headers alone give you 25-30 hp, full exhaust 10hp, cai, 15hp, 25% pulley, higher ratio roller rockers and custom tune about 30hp translates to about 480, 490 got it dyno'd here at savage motorsports at 406 rwhp, plus ive got royal purple tranny, engine, diff, iridium plugs msd wires

  • @Ensilvanation Just about the only numbers that sound realistic there are the 400hp stock at the crank and 330whp stock, everything else is ricer math, no offense. Like I said, wacky dyno or there are other mods.

Your nuts Royal Purple has been dyno proven to increase HP by 3% as well as NGK iridium plugs partnered with thicker higher output wires can increase HP depending on the vehicle. If you read my comment on only really count the bolt-ons anyway, but I did have my car dynoe'd.

  • @Ensilvanation Its cool dude, I believe you. Who wouldn't believe that changing to RP will give you 12hp, thats totally believable. Next time you're in your local auto parts store pick up a turbonator, it adds 20-30hp with no other modification.
