  • yea to my undwerstanding tesla coild don't need much voltage found one site that sad tesla was running them from 120v but got them up tp producing 100 mil v so

  • Tesla would be proud that you had enough funding to make this video happen :) Very cool!

  • Depends on the coil size and type. Really the only type of coil you'd want to touch is a small DRSSTC running at a low BPS rate.

My DRSSTC is 40W input, and gives off ~40cm sparks, and touching them just feels like one of those little BBQ igniters.

  • How much V do u need???

  • would you feel anything if you where to touch the sparks? i know its a very high voltage...but its not the voltage that kills.

  • I think you would feel it for a nano second then........

  • @garrysurrey you souldn't feel it but it WILL damage nerves.

  • @garrysurrey you shouldn't feel it but it WILL damage nerves.

  • Very True ;-)

  • @AgentCROCODILE tHE FIRST w.m.d. WAS tESLA eARTHQUAKE nO. 333 on September 3 at 3:03 vpm epicenter time in 1899. 3h 03m 27s - 3h 03m 28s That is why Nikola Tesla died in Room #3327 - #3328. That is why he hinted obsession with "THREE". That is why he did not win his Nobel. That is why the internet will. -Tesla made earthquakes in 1899

  • At the end when its was going to the tripod , does the spark really move slow like it looks , or is it just thing from the cam .

    Very cool.

  • Yes it is moving that slow.........kewl isn't it, in real life It looks like you could hold it! never do that though as it might cause death....

    Paul..

  • I like how every once in a while the sparks travel to the base of the unit. This thing looks dangerous and I like it.

    Bill

  • Lol, yeah I like that feeling too but the primary seems to have a ground rail above it making it very safe. People can sometime mistake the simplicity of these circuits and how safe they are as long as you do not stick your tongue on it.....lol

    Hows your earth battery going??

    Paul.

  • Thanks Paul. Last night, I lit 400 leds from it. More to come....hopefully.

    Bill

  • Nice one, is there any corrosion on the anode or cathode? Im sure there is not as The Telephone companies used them as repeaters.

Have you made sure you aline the anode cathode North to south? thats what the Telephone companies did for best results......

just a thought as it follows magnetic north then.....

    Paul.

  • Ahhh fresh ozone wonderful stuff :)

  • It does Clear the Head.....;-)

  • lol. when i smell ozone in my electronics its normally a bad thing. (something is shoring out or whatever)

  • No. 1# device :) i like!

  • I know it was my favorite from the meet....

There is another meet in October, thats a real big one!

I might get a real camera for it..
