The Communist regime of the Soviet Union was no better than the Nazi regime or the Fascist regimes. Communism is probably the worst form of authoritarianism. No individual liberty especially free speech, just absolute government control of all people and absolute censorship. No individual empowerment, just continued forced social welfare dependency (this sounds familiar). No private property, just state ownership of all assets. And of course, plenty of massacres in the name of "the people."

It's true that communism isn't racist, but it's still a fascist ideology. It's sectarian, doesn't allow opposition and open debate, it doesn't allow free thinking, and therefore it's very similar to something it opposes as well: Religion.
