He was way to rough on the transmission in reverse. The oil does not pump through the transmission near as much in reverse, rather than in the forward gears. What a no-no for this beautiful car.
@laughingharry These Mercedes started in second gear from a stop due to emissions and for a smoother ride. When he floored it and pressed the kickdown switch, he forced the car to use the first gear on takeoff.
I really like your Mercedes, nice video do another one aswell if you can take longer on it and accelerate alot. just wanna ask how much horse power it has and is it a 300 sel or 420 or 560

That's not kickdown, kickdown is when a car changes down gears at speed to get more power...

This 3.0 6L engine is too sluggish for such a big body. The best option is the 5.0 V8 or the 5.6 V8. These two engines have a real kick.
