i found cherry 7up in a pop machine before seeing the commercials for it later on...i know it was around march/april 1987, because me, my mother and stepfather were going to the movies on a saturday evening to see "lethal weapon"...stopped at a gas station to get some gas, and i was going to the pop machine to get something, and there it was, cherry 7up...it was only 35 cents, so i said what the hell and got it...it tasted great! and i was hooked from then on...the commercials were classic!!

This and over 270 other 80s UK adverts 'out there on the internet' originated from my collection of old betamax tapes, I put out a torrent containing over 270 adverts in 2004 which was grabbed by the 100's and people are still to my knowledge selling CDs & DVDs of the collection on eBay.

BTW I absolutely adored this drink back in the 80s and last year discovered one of my local chippys was selling it again! Cherry 7up FTW! (nowhere else, not even supernarkets have it)
