  • Great! thanks much!

  • What frame rate was this recorded at?

  • @AdamBruno522 120fps in the camera but slowed down again in post to about 1500 fps :)

  • guys this is how to slow down clips without warping: film at 60fps with a high stutter speed, and the important thing is to film it with a contrasting background. pennyshills vid has a bright background, but the guy is silouhetted in black. then use twixtor, shake, or use an optical flow function to slow it down. BAM.

  • @XiaoXiaoman224 yep thats right :)

  • hahaha what a shit tramp... did you get it from the warehouse.. but kudas for trying bro if only you could aford a supertramp

  • @beautifulmanaz hahahaha take it easy mr condescending douchebag not everyone is a pro badass trampoline expert like you

  • great job dude!!

please someone tell me how to add text in a clip like that i.e. doing the same as in 0:08!

    I have been looking everywhere..

    thanks!!

  • @mackhm Thanks mate. the text is added using basic motion tracking software. what editing software are you using? i use motion for my stuff. adobe after effects does the same thing. simply look up a tutortial on basic motion tracking with text. it takes about 2 minutes when you know how to do it. cheers

  • @pennyshill thanks a bunch, I've really looked everywhere and never found out what the technique was called. I'm using final cut studio, but never really considered using motion for anyhthing until now :)

  • @pennyshill OR, if you have Apple Motion it's a bit more "user friendly." I think mainly because it uses more visual ques to show you how to make a motion tracking sequence. Can't tell if one is more accurate than the other. Any thoughts about that Pennyshill?

  • @kuryakyn1 Yeh i totally agree. Motion is more fun being an apple product :) they are both accurate enough to do basic work. After Effects can ultimately do more things but its harder to learn. I do use both pieces of software though. I also use matchmover 2011 to do advanced motion tracking but thats a whole other story :) good luck. any more questions please ask me. cheers

  • @pennyshill Nice! Haven't tried my hand at MatchMover but I'd sure like to try some tests. Great video man! Thank you for the added motion track info too :) Later!

  • @kuryakyn1 Matchmover is for 3D tracking. used with Maya and Autodesk. its incredibly powerful but a handfull to learn. im still trying to figure it out :)

  • It looks like WMG is preventing me from hearing another quality tune I would have probably purchased through your free promotion.

    Cool visuals though

  • i know. i know. the song WAS bjork - hyper Ballad... the problem is i edited the bloody video to the music so now nothing matches my edit. not happy considering the free exposure i'm giving her music. and its not like she's a struggling artist desperate for money..... there is a version on vimeo with the music if your keen to check it. peace

  • the editing job on this vid is fucking mental!

  • cheers bro! subscribe if ya keen i got some new vids coming out pretty soon! yew

  • haha, i only have some shit handycam, this is some of the best stuff i've seen.

  • how did you do those extreme slow mo bits in black and white? Did you use smooth slow record to film it. then slow it down more in post?

I've used the smooth slow rec function but found it really destroys the quality.

  • hey yeh i shot those in smooth slow record 3 second option. make sure your shutter speed is really high so there's almost no motion blur. the shot is then imported & blurred slightly to remove any artifacts ( there are heaps when using smooth slow) then i use a re-sharpen mask tool. i then use optical flow slow motion in motion 3. slow it right down with a ramp effect. i then blow up the shot. apply a sharpen filter to get it back to 720p kinda quality. + B&W filters too. hope this helps :)

  • also the shot design helps. because there is a very clear cut sillouette in the shot it help the optical flow work much better. also easier to get it sharper etc. don't worry too much it took me maybe 25 - 30 goes before i had some decent stuff to play with. things like manual focus helps to keep it sharp. tripod etc. high shutter. i wish it was full HD slow mo. would make things easier lol.

  • wow i comment too much : D

  • you guys should see what you can do with this when shooting with a RED One at 120 fps (slow enough, right?) and then slowing it down even more w/ Optical Flow. It's awesome!

  • man i dream of owning a red cam. My camera records at 240 frames/ sec ( i think anyway i cant confirm this ) but it is very pixelated in that mode. its ok for youtube as you can see above but on a HD tv it all falls apart. Red records at 4k doesn't it? something crazy like that. Thanks for your input BTW

  • Hey man I'm right there with you about the camera. You have heard about the whole RED Scarlet thing about to come out, have you not? Because that's what I'm gonna get this fall, and it will be AWESOME!!!!

  • don't they cost like 1/4 million or something? you must be loaded bro :P

  • Ha ha quite the opposite, actually. But I'm gonna go ahead and pm you about this thing tomorrow (can't stand the character limit). I think you could benefit from some information about the best thing that's ever happened to the world of cinematography ;D

  • sweet az

  • u know I never pm'ed u did I

  • Sorry About the Sound People. Will re-upload it soon with new audio

  • can you upload it to megaupload or filefront with original sound?

  • yes i will actually. good idea. just uploading it now to filefront. will let you know the link when its done. cheers!

  • awesome

  • i want the song name! Bjork?

cool video im gonna start working with Optical Flow..retiming stuff :P

  • yeh it is bjork. i cant remember the name of the song though. i'll get bak to u on that

  • what framerate did you shoot this in? shutter speed?

  • shot at 240 frames sec/ 300 shutter

realtime footage was 1080 progressive at 300 shutter at 25 frames sec

its was slowed to 1 / 10 original speed using optical flow

  • This is a sick video. I want to be on it.

  • the vid is good, but the tricks are too easy! try flip tricks

  • haha yeh we're working on it.. we need a bigger tramp to push the limits a bit more

  • Right on. ;)

  • Very nice!

  • love it

  • hey pH hows tings man, getting my camera in like 3 weeks, hanging for it, oi can you get fish eye lense for it or do you just use your edit software ?all this shit is new to me, take it easy
