O Sporting fez o maior erro da sua vida , que foi claramente a venda do Ricardo ao Bétis.

O Ricardo foi, é e sempre será um grande guarda-redes , e não há nada que prove o contrário .

O defeito de muitas equipas é venderem os jogadores so porque têm mais de 30 anos , neste caso , venderam o Ricardo quando ele tinha 31 anos . Mas existem muitas equipas boas como o F.C Porto que tem o Helton de 32 anos , o M.United com o Van der Sar de 39 anos , etc.

Sou do Porto , mas o Ricardo é dos melhores.

@cityfan1989 Saw Leicester's game against Derby on Saturday. It was nice, especially the first half, when City controled the situation on the pitch. Fine debut of Ricardo, although he should be a bit more careful when he rushes out of the goal to clear the ball. Anyway it was great to see him after so long break. I was waiting for his return for almost two years!

@MegaPas1 No, Eduardo is no. 1, Beto and Daniel Fernandes are substitutes. Ricardo didn't had a chance to be call-up as he is only a deputy in his club. Hasn't been playing for months, unfortunately :(

But now he is writing articles for Maisfutebol about Selecção on the World Cup :)

@Djinga rapaz, o scp é que cometeu o maior erro, Ele nao foi ganancioso, o SCp simplesmente aceitou a oferta do betis, pelo que vejo, o scp já nao o queria lá porque o Ricardo não vai para novo e todos nós sabemos disso. Ele pra mim foi o melhor guarda redes portugal enquanto teve no boavista e scp, depois baixou a fasquia. Psychological effect mostly. It's a battle of nerves, a penalty shoot-out.

Some goalkeepers move on the line of a goal, just to distract the opponent, sometimes it works (did you saw the final of Chamions League in 2005, when Jerzy Dudek, a goalkeeper of Livepool, performed his famous 'dance'? ;).

Ricardo said in one of the interviews that when he didn't sucessed in saving first few penalties he take out his gloves just to try it another way. And that was it. He made that save.

Goalkeepers are my favorite players. Most people wait for the goals. I wait for the impressing saves :)

I played as goalie, after I saw the game I tried it myself in a penalty shoot-out, saved whitout gloves. :D

Lol, not really. Found it quite risky to be honest and the goalkeeper shouldn't do that. I used it because it suited to the words of the songs. Dueling with Eto'o was really like playing with a thunder. However, that Betis-Barca match was really one of Ricardo's moments of glory.

Thats true. I have seen this match. I liked his performance very match. But a goalkeeper must not be so confident that he wants to dribble when his team is winning with one goal difference.

The defender passed the ball to him, looks like it bounced a bit. Couldn't catch it in hands, might kick it away sooner instead of dribbling. Maybe he remembered himself the times when he played as forward? ;) Anyway, he was lucky.

I watched several of his matches in this season and Betis-Barca was really his best performance. What a fate that only a week later there was that catastrophic 1-6 match with Real.
