  • Tracing, and not painting.

  • How can I get my graphics tab's active area to represent the size of my screen?

  • @eat4peace

i use windows 7, and there you can find the application, the one that says properties, and on it, you have to check a box, that says something like force proportion, or force to fit display. i have in spanish, so i cant really tell, but i know you can, try it! good luck.

  • Have you compared intuos 3 and bamboo? I have Bamboo fun, it is shyt literally, I am afraid intuos 3 is not much better than bamboo.

  • this isn't painting, plus the video quality is so poor you can hardly see what hes doing.. 240p cmonnn

  • Isn't it hard to trace like that if you don't have the picture on the tablet? Or is it easier once you get used to it?

  • there is a Wacom Intuos3 6x8 Pen Tablet - Refurbished on MacMall(dot)com for $169.99!! I just ordered one!!! It'll be here in 2 days :D I'm so excited

  • haha looks like a running Abraham Lincoln.

  • Don't say it's painting when its not! Even little kids who can't draw can trace :)

  • but i poop from there!!!!

  • isn't this... tracing? lol

  • Here is a positive comment so you can shove it up your...

  • very nice trick !!!oyu can do a comic story with that!!!

  • Thanks for your comments as constructive and positive.

If you want, you can see other pictures on my site and comment that way so positive.

  • hahaha, as you can probebly tell my dear that ashmerge is a noob lol. Yes you could use a mouse but i dont think thats the point of the video. Wacom makes photoshop so much funner to use and makes life faster. i just got a Intuos3 tablet 6x11 inches its sweeeeet but need some use to..

  • I disagree. While an original work would be nice to see, imagine if you took a picture, penciled the outline out over a lightboard, then took out paints and filled it in. That would be painting. (Painting == act of applying paint) Not original, and infinitely less impressive than original work, but 'technically' painting.

  • Well, he at least did something, did you make any videos. Also he is not just painting over the photo or drawing like you said, he is indicating things and stuff. It's pretty cool stuff actually. Take a closer look.

  • I'm a painter too and I have a suggestion for an author of this drawing... If you color your sketch, do it on an separated layer under the "sketch layer" without using a paint bucket tool. You won't brake your scetch then. Use a bigger brush instead.

  • Nice video.. :) Looks easy when u r doing it...!

i know this is off topic but i love the music... tigrepeluche could u pls say who d artist is? Thanx

  • tigrepeluche, don't be a jerk and answer his question....geeeesh

  • I NEED HELP... i am really getting into digital art. my art is getting better (professional looking) and i need a tablet that is affective and cheap (i'm broke) is the bamboo good, or do i need the intuos P.S. i take digital art seriously

  • For profesional looking... Intuos

  • thanks

  • just curious, why would the bamboo not produce professional looking work?

  • one reason the bamboo produces less quality work is because the bamboo has only 512 pressure sensitive levels, while the intuos3 has double that: 1024, and the intuos4 has 4 times that: 2048. also, the bamboo has a resolution of only 2540lpi, while the intuos3 and 4 have double that, 5080. i can't afford a intuos4, so i'm getting a intuos3 soon.

  • hey me 2, i am a fashion illustrator student, i have been saving up for a wacom intuos3, do you think it is better for someone like me who is starting new to start with intuos3 instead of 4, i mean there only major difference is the pressure sensitive levels right, is there other big advantages other than this? please recommend should i get intuos 3 or 4, i am just concern than if i buy intuos 4 now, i will not how i will adapt to using it and second it is very expensive???

  • i was gonna buy intuos3, but the intuos4 was basically the same thing at close to the same price i planned on paying. so i got that. the 4 is better.....just because...

  • the intuos 3 doesnt have a detachable cable like the intuos 4 does (uses a USB connection similar to a PSP connection). the touch strip has been upgraded to a touch wheel and there is now illuminated express keys that show what button does what according to your configuration. I still like my intuos 3 4x6 but since the intuos 4 has better pressure sensitivity im getting one for more precise lines and colors.

  • (continuation of previous comment) the intuos 4 costs the same as the intuos 3 models so it just depends on the amount of money youre willing to shell out. the small costs $230.00 the medium is $330.00 and the Large is $530.00 (or a little more cause of sales tax) whilist the extra large is the most expensive model which is roughly around $700.00 plus dollars. hope this helps you^^

  • I agree with "weeschwee". it's not that much about the material you use. but the skills you have and the effort you put into your work.

I mean it think about it... if you gave a Wacom Cintiq to some guy who dosen't even like drawing he would still suck.

give a professional artist a Genius tablet and he WILL do a piece of art.

buying the Bamboo or Bamboo Fun or Intuos won't give you the skills, but Intuos has a lot of advantages.

    like accuracy and such.

if you can afford the Intuos... go for it.

  • Exactly.. you said it yourself.. while a product won't make you professional it would definitely make it a lot easier for you, the bamboo doesn't have as much accuracy as the intuos and would hinder the artisty

  • @aframacan there is a refurbished Wacom Intuos3 6x8 Pen Tablet on MacMall(dot)com for $169.99. I just ordered one!

  • @blondieb23 i got an intuos around a year ago

  • @aframacan try a genius tablet i have one and they are pretty good although the quality is abit poorer and wont last as long as a wacom but they're a lot cheaper and work well :D

  • @arganoid13 i got an intuos about 10 months ago, but thanks anyway. also (unrelated) were you searching youtube for somebody called "steve earle"?

  • @aframacan umm... dont think soo..

  • @arganoid13 ok, must be some wierd youtube glitch that puts random names in the search bar

  • Comment removed

  • who runs in sandles

  • Is the same....

  • I think I saw this on Vimeo...hmmm

  • How did you do this, can you please make a video explaining how to pain and trace and outline like this in CS3, or just message me the way.

  • if you have a tablet is not so hard to do this... is only tracing.. You can do tracing with the pen tool if you dont have a tablet...but you must exercize beacause if you didn't worke'd with the pen tool at al is a little harder at first! :D

  • if you dont know how to draw a line and trace in Cs3 then you pirated it. since i know no1 in their right mind would buy it and now know the something as basic as that. likes like buying a ps3 and not know how to buy games at the store...

  • What idiot in their right mind pays for software? Especially when the software companies have poor customer support then bring out an upgraded version 6 months after you just spent 500 quid on their software. They're taking the piss and mugs who pay for it desrve to be ripped off.

  • i pirated Photoshop/illustrator/ and Dreamweaver CS3 and i know how to use photoshop and illustrator very well. how does someone's means of getting something determine how well they can use it?

  • no se ve muy bien las cosas que usa por la calidad del video pero se agradece dicho aporte :D
