What a fabulous video! I am surprised that your feral allows you so close. I hope you will share the rest of the story as to how long it took you to gain her trust. It amazing that she let you touch the kitten right after birth! Checking the date, I see your kittens are full grown by now! I saw this video as I was posting one of my feral and her two kittens. I have trapped Mama and one kitty and got them both spayed.

Why do you call her feral?

@Alouncara Bootsy is feral because she was born and lived outdoors; never having the society of human beings until shortly before this video. Feral means

'wild'. Likely the two feral toms she routed were former mating partners, and

the litter belonged to one or the other of them.

@bookkeeper57 Actually, there's a term for this, I forgot what it is, but female cats can actually be impregnated by two different males and have a mixed litter where some kittens are from one father and the rest are from another.

@Alouncara I know what feral means, it just seemed like she was fairly socialized in the video.

And more likely than not the litter belongs to both or even more toms, and you have some half siblings.

Excellent stuff. Amazing how at first there is no movement to the kitten til the mother starts to lick it and then it's get me away from the licking monster. Lots of flailing of those little paws.
