The shorter the time there is between a change in momentum, the more force is applied to the driver. What hurts your brain worse? 1-just because it does not crush does not mean its safe

2-"i" beam is meant to be strong with the flat sides on the top and bottom like a capital "i" so if your going for side/front impact strength u have it the wrong way

3-all that weight/momentum and strength of the steel its going to be the same as a normal car with say 1/4 the weight and strength.

4-why don't you look at the highway impact trucks with the aluminum/foam "scorpion" on the back to absorb impact lets not reinvent the wheel

The reason the cars collapse is so the g-force on impact is less because impact at 30 mph will kill instantly due to pulling 8 gs
