  • Mine was candy apple red. I miss her do.

  • I had one exactly like that, same color year, convertible, everything but the wheels and exhaust is spot on. I got hit in 1981 by a truck that pushed me into another truck. Both trucks were totaled... mine was pretty badly wrecked but could have been redone... I decided to scrap it and get a used camaro. Regretted that decision ever since then... worse, when I found GM only made 3400 of those. The engine was way too powerful and torque too aggressive for the ladies that liked to drive it.

  • thts the car i want

  • Beautiful car!

  • erusshiatt : Are you sure? I have always heard it was a '68 Ninety-eight. :3gasman Cars as far back as '66 had seatbelts. We had a '66 4-door LTD hardtop, and it had seatbelts.

  • Beautiful! My favorite year of the Ninety-Eight. My grandparents had a light blue 2-door hardtop, bought new, until 1975, when my dad bought it. We had it another 2 years. I cried when he traded it. I can remember riding on the center armrest between my grandparents...imagine!

  • What is the worth of a car like this? I have a guy that wants to sell me one that has been in storage for four years for $2500. same color, same engine. its convertible.

  • @rayn1988 If it is in good condition that doesn't sound too bad. I replaced many wear items in the front end along with rebuilding the motor. It can add up quick.

  • This one has seatbelts. I don't know if they were standard or an option?

  • @3gasman Seatbelts were required equipment on US cars beginning in 1968, along with side marker lamps, and several other safety features.

  • @3gasman hi first of all love your car: it is awesome hey by any chance are you selling the car?

  • @3gasman Good question on the seat belts, but being that it's a top of the line car, I am going to say seat belts must have been standard.

  • did the 1968 olds 98 come equipped with seatbelts or were they an option?

  • Don't Oldsmobiles have such a wonderful melodious rumble? I have a 67442 and a 67 Delta 425 convertible

  • Teddy Kennedy was driving a 1968 Olds 98, 4-door sedan when he drowned Mary Jo Kopeckne.

  • @StephenB58 Close. It was a 1967 Delmont 88 sedan.

  • That's a gorgeous Oldsmobile 98 you have there. I just bought a 1968 Oldsmobile 98 last month and have really enjoyed fixing her up and cruisin" around the neighborhood. Tell me about her if you want. Thanks !!

  • awesome! respect! thats beautiful.

  • OMG!!! I WANT THAT CAR!!! Listen to that big block rumble!!!

  • Beautiful 98! It looks to be in very good shape. Great exhaust sound too!

  • The rims are American Racing chrome wheels with a spoke basket that fastens over them. I've had them for 10+ years now, and they weren't that expensive.

  • what are the name of those rims and how much are they?????

  • I love it, thanks. I remember we had one, driving home at night from a family gathering, my 9 year old sister asleep totally stretched out across the back seat, and me at 6 years old laying across the floor, trying with hands and feet to touch both sides. Dad driving at 80mph. When I got bored I would stand on the front seat between Mom and Dad. Seat belt? What's that?

  • Nice...mine's white w/ blue interior.

Did you ever need to pull the dashboard open? I can't seem to do it.

  • Never needed to get the dash off. I did lay on my back all contorted trying to work on front speaker though.

  • mmmmmmm...LOVE that Oldsmobile rumble!

  • Beautiful car! My dad had a '73 back before I was born. It was a blue four door sedan with a 455 4 barrel. I wish I could have been alive to ride in it. The late 60's and early 70's Oldsmobiles are just works of art!

  • Very nice 98 my dad had a 67 burgundy convertible. Great memories

  • REV it man

  • i have a 98 also! but it doesnt sound like that! infacy u cant even hear the engine..do you have flowmasters or anything else aftermarket?

  • i have on just like that. sold it, then bought it back in the worst shape and a blown engine. i wait for the day i could restore it to this great condition...

  • purrs like a cat, ready to teach some 350 cid a lesson or two. There is no mistaking that exhaust sound. thanks for posting it

  • These were wonderfully dependable cars with a high level of quality and performance. I owned two of them, a Holiday Sedan and a Town Sedan.

  • What U asking for it? I and Wife would like to buy it...it was the year we both were born.

  • Beauty....sounds great, too!

  • Nice. 68 is my favorite year for the Olds 98.

  • wow kickass nice car man i love it!! got a 98 too, but convertible...omg

  • I had the 68 hardtop goodbye G.M. goodby Olds Goodbye Bush asshole

  • I think it's not that bad because todays American cars look ugly I think (with some exceptions). I like almost all american cars from 55-76.

  • BUSH KEPT YOUR PUNK ASS ALIVE BITCH
