its funny that people are comparing sarah brightman with any serious opera singer. Sarah is a fabulous POPera singer. Like Josh Groban and Charlotte Church, she is great for introducing the masses to opera...but she can't be taken seriouly when talking about actual opera.
Anna is much better and I really love to hear Sarah Brightman sing, when Anna and Sarah CD's are playing it drives the wife nuts; she doesn't like either one.
Anna is a great lyrical soprano, not a coloratura for sure. Let her sing all the Puccinis, not bel canto, please.

I actually like Sarah Brightman too especially on the original soundtrack of The Phantom of the Opera (London Cast)
If only she developed her voice to become a serious opera singer, she would be great too. The same with Charlotte Church.
