Libeskind is nothing but glorified and overrated snake-oil salesman. He is the paradigm of everything wrong with modern architecture practice today. Just the same repeating gimmick of patterns from "chamberworks" all the time. I wonder how this guy gets commissioned today.
Nothing like sticking a battleship in the middle of "the desert" as the narrator points out. Unfortunately the metal panels look like crap after a couple years. No one mentioned that it hails a lot out here. flickr.com/photos/molas/444608404/in/photostream/
I'd like to personally thank Mr. Libeskind for destroying the Royal Ontario Museum with his 'crystals', which he keeps repeating with every project it seems. Genius? Fuck off.
On the bright side, at least when his buildings fall down, nobody will notice.
@pobbrock I just saw a few photos of the ROM. A ship jutting out of a building??? I feel so sorry for the residents who have to see that abomination every day. Mon Dieu... It's hideous.
@pobbrock Have you ever heard of Aesop's fable, The Fox and the Grapes? Take a look... particularly the last line. Think about what you have achieved to talk down and belittle someone else's perspective of the world and achievements...unless you are Frank Gehry or Santiago Calatrava you should have no other feeling except jealousy towards Libeskind and his buildings. Regards....

@packe777 You must be an architect with no money who thinks everyone misunderstands him.

@zurechtweiser Umm.......no. I just think Libeskind sucks. It's kinda a consensus among architects everywhere.
