  • GLUE IS THE BEST WAY TO DO IT.You spot weld one on, what happens? you burn the back side and it will start to rust on the inside. Grind it and use the 3m epoxy. no it will never come off, and it will not rust. The right way to do it naw trust me.

  • id slap some dome top pistons in that small block to wake it up , fantastic job

  • glue luck!

  • glue thats not smart

  • Adhesives are the preferred method in most repair shops, they have large surface area, don't warp from heat, don't corrode, and are stronger than the steel. We finished the job.. the video is coming. There are definite advantages to welding and to bonding panels.

  • what hair? lol

  • You don't have any hair!!:) Whats up with the GTO?? I thought you had the pro tour coming up and had to get it done fast!

  • i somehow doubt that you get too much of your hair stuck - so i guess the worst thing will be getting stuck in between like been sandwiched;)

they introduced glue as new technic to cut cost in 3 ways: faster in the assembly line, no need for skilled worker which therefore doesn't have to be trained and paid for his skills and no union, everyone is just working unskilled assembly line jobs and paid that way which reduces production cost again.

will be just fine with you guys using it:)

  • That may be true in the assembly line, but I'll tell you one thing.. it takes ALOT of skill on the repair side! There are tons of things to keep track of as far as fitting the panel, getting proper adhesion, etc. We'll post how it comes out! Thanks!
