He used the DS-2 after his DS-1 broke though, but he'd set it to the channel 1, which is pretty much the same sound as the DS-1 and he turned the tone to about 11o'clock, and the volume and distortion all the way up, but here he's not using distortion he's using overdrive.

not on recordings except on"the man who sold the world" from unplugged. he got one in '92 but he used proco rats and sansamps on in utero. mightve used it on 'you know your right' but he mightve used a borrowed ibanez metal on that.

I know what happened here. They were only supposed to do a signing at the Beehive but since Nirvana got really big, so many fans showed up that Kurt just said ok let's play instead. I would have loved to have seen all the kids go crazy. They were tearing down paper from the walls and using it for autographs.

most of them were smashed to bits by kurt leaving him with only a few guitar remaining.

As far as I know, he only smashed cheap guitars like stratocasters, which he considered worthless (or something along those lines) but never his mustangs and jaguars, which he absolutely adored. Keep in mind that his Fender signature guitar (which he designed himself) was a combination of these two guitars, which shows, that they meant something to him. You can read a bit about this in his diaries.

I guess most of his stuff is now in posession of his Courtney or was auctioned away for charity.

Yeah I don't know about FENDERS but maybe the cheap ass copies. I love mustangs to but I believe he has smashed his jaguar it's somewhere on here. And his signature guitar the Fender Jagstang he hated for some reason. His favorite was the mustang and 2 weeks before he died the Telecaster was his new favorite he had 1 humbucker and single coil put into it. Seymour Duncan Jb I think. So yeah he beat the shit out of his things.
