It is time to stop referring to people by their skin colors. I find that unacceptable. Why is it acceptable to refer to Black people by their skin color ? Why is it that we refer to Chinese or Indian people by their nationalities and not their skin colors? I believe that people should be defined by their country of origin, their ethnicity and race and if a person does not know or is unsure, then it would be justified to refer to them as 'people of color' or 'colored people'.

You know what I find amusing about all this talk of "colored" being "racist"? When I was growing up (early 1960s), "colored" was the NICE term for them. "Nigger" was what you called the nasty ones. My adopted grandmother was a colored lady and she called herself that. She didn't like the term "black" because in the mid1960s it meant the militant, angry ones.
