Kobe was completely distracted by the rape case and that further alienated him from his teammates, especially Shaq. Malone and payton were both sick of their arguing and it didn't help that he got injuried during the season.
if there weren't so many damn distractions swirling around among the Lakers that year, they would have surely won the Championship..... I mean without a doubt they would have taken it.
Kobe was out this game due to a private matter in his life. Once Kobe returns, the starting 5 is C Shaq. PF. Karl Malone. SF Devean George. SG Kobe Bryant. PG Garry Payton. Derek Fisher would come in as a sub. which is why he left to the warriors the following season, because he lost his starting job with the Lakers. And then Fish left the Warriors for the same reason when Baron Davis got there.
You mean in the "Triangle era?" - Because the Lakers have had scoring guard before. And Payton wasn't too much of a scorer at this point in his career.

Hawaii is known for its flowers among other things - beautiful place. Local Hawaiians wear them, but you'll especially see a lot of tourists wearing them there, but a lot of people wear them in general (usually guys over 40, they were more popular years back).

Their bench was deep, and their defense was just Chuck Norris-like, not to mention the fact that they pretty much had 4 all-stars on their starting line up, and a semi-all star. This is one of the most stacked teams in NBA history. Nobody will ever give respect to the Underrated 2004 Detroit Pistons. Comng from a Heat Band-wagon fan...
