Question 1: plant die in deserts if they have no penroot or radicle root
Question 2: the germination rate of seeds differs. The best way is to pre-germinate under controlled circumstances and plant just after the radicle root has developed, just before the leaves have developed. See photos on The Trials page in Morocco on groasis.com
Is anyone anywhere trying to reclaim desertified land , im very interested in this. Something like one third of all the earths land is desert , i cant think of many things more important yet i cant find much information regarding this.

Thank you for an interesting presentation!
I am not an expert in this field but I see two problems in this that I would like to question.
Of course this video shows an ideal story of the plant/seed but do:
-Plants necessarily die just because the evolve secondary roots in the deserts?
-seeds always spire into sprouts/plants? What is the succes rate of seeds under desert circumstances?
