I disagree to some extent. I'm pretty new to the Ace Combat series, but I felt that Zero was a better game as the AI actually posed a threat. Also, Excalibur could actually kill you, whereas Stonehenge is incredibly easy to dodge.

Now, 04 does have one thing over Zero, and it's a rather important thing. 04 makes you feel incredibly awesome.

"It's Mobius 1! We're saved!" > "The Demon Lord! Let's kill him!"
