On the intro,pick each individual note, instead of pulling off and hammering on. pick up for one note and down for the next. also, pick the open string in between the fretted notes.

it dont matter, Angus did both picking and hammer ons/pull offs. in my opinion hes pretty great considering he did the whole intro with hammer ons/pull offs. it takes a while to get the strength in yer fretting hand to do that. i give him a lotta credit. ppl that dont play guitar dont understand these things. it sounds amazing either way if u get the timing right. plus on top of that he improvised the solos which made it sound really awesum. and he had the amp settings the way HE wanted it.

Yes, you can play the intro either way either with hammer on/pull off or picking. Angus does either, both sound good, the picking is obviously a little louder, but if you are like me and you get confuzzled when picking, hammer on/pull off is a great method to stick to :)

In the official thunderstruck film clip Angus does not pick the intro....but he picks the intro when playing live.....you can play either way and you'll be playing the way he does, stop bitching about it already.

@J1mb093 Angus actually does pick each note. the finger tapping in the video is for show. picking each note will emphasize it and make each note louder. you could fingertap it but you better have some damn good pickups to get the volume.
