Christianity is a bunch of people running around from 20A.D. telling the stories of God and then once England and France and Spain took upon Catholicism they just tried to spread the word for control.
(2/3)The popes closed certain areas of churches back in the 1600s or so if the law wasn't going how they wanted forcing the law to change because people thought they'd go to hell. Catholicism is the reason Columbus came to America, to spread the word to India. It is why the Pilgrims came to America, to run away from it being shoved down their throats.
(3/3)During the Spanish Inquisition, if you didn't believe the word of God you got tortured till you eventually died just because you didn't believe. Christianity is a very good method to control the government, but it is also the way telling people a better way to live your life instead of people running around barbaric and sacrificing people or stealing which went on like crazy.
My friends and family are always all like " you should go to church, you should read the bible, blah blah blah..." I am forced to get up at like six to go to church in a town like two hours away, where i doze the entire time. I don't read the bible. God wanted it to be a man and woman blah blah blah." I really don't see any problem with Gay marriage. So what if God doesn't approve of it, Everyone should have equal rights, and gay marriage falls into that category. Religion should not be involved with politics, but it is, even though the government says it's not. It pisses me off.
One time going to RI we had to drive through NY and we got lost in the Bronx and almost went to queens my mom was freaking out because its so easy to get lost in NY or NJ. Anyway, i was laughing the entire time and i swear my mom was gonna kick me out of the car, leave me in Queens or whatever and drive away...

i totally agree with you about the religion thing. i had somthing happen to me like the dumplings today. i was making tator tots and it had pan fry directions on it. so i put them in there and they just turn to fried mush... it was disgusting. and yeah the grease was hot, i took the tempature

I think that people should be more open minded about religion instead of automatically believing what their parents teach them. They should really take some time and look at other religions to see if some make more sense then other ones. But I guess not all kids believe in the religion their parents teach them.

About the religion thing, these guys came to my house asking me if I believed in god. I said "no" they were like are you sure and i said yes. And they wouldn't leave my property until I threatened them that I would call the police. It's like who cares if I don't have a religion or believe in god?

technically i'm Roman Catholic and we are a branch of Chrisianity and my brother who is 19 is extremely religious which is fine and i respect that but he somehow thinks that because i am 14 he can force to agree with everything that he believes which is what the Catholic Faith believes and i just don't. i am a Christian and i although i can see what you mean i do love God i just don't agree with a lot of the things that a lot of the branches of Christianity believe like:
2. abortion is wrong no matter what the circimstance (i'm not saying it's right but honestly if you were raped or something would you want to carry some evil man's baby for nine months and then give it up for adoption where it may or may not find a home. personally i think the baby would be happier up in Heaven with God rather than on this messed up earth.)
3. the purpose of life is to serve God (I don't think God is that selfish) hold on there's more...
4. i've only seen this in some of the sermons at my church but i've noticed that sometimes they say stuff like the wife should obey and serve her husband...He created us all equal let's keep it that way
5. the whole honor and obey your parents commandment thing: i think if our parents want us to "honor obey and respect" them then they should at least respect and love us too. i'm not saying every parent in the world is a bad one but some don't deserve to honored obeyed or respected THE END
this is pretty inconsequential, but i believe the commandment is to just honor your mother father. it doesn't say you have to obey them just appreciate them. of course if you have abbusive parents, why should you?

OMG good going with the dumplings...dumplings are totally amazing! i usually get pizza stuck to paper plates so then i bite it and theres a giant piece of paper on the back....mmmm. im forced to go to church too, i dont love god either and i hate when people try and cram their religion on you. plus people say that god loves everybody....yet u cant be gay or anything like that....makes no sense dont understand it at all!!

Every person should be given an opportunity to become a christian but it is definitely being taken out of hand. People holding picket signs, people handing out religious fliers at events. It will never work...

Im a Christian, and those people who do try to "convert" you to their "religion" are slighty annoying to me. Im strong in my belief, and i think that if i ever need to stand up for my beliefs i will. I'm not discouraged to explain to people why i believe this, or why i believe that. People are people, and no matter where you go, they still want to make their own decisions, and they have the freedom to. so i partly agree, and disagree also. btw ur cute lol

About the religion thing, these guys came to my house asking me if I believed in god. I said "no" they were like are you sure and i said yes. And they wouldn't leave my property until I threatened them that I would call the police. It's like who cares if I don't have a religion or believe in god?

Jewish people don't have to spread their religion. the only thing we gotta spread is charity, preferably anonymous. and the only thing close to confirmation we have is to have a bar/bat mitzvah, in which you participate in a service on shabbat.

technically i'm Roman Catholic and we are a branch of Chrisianity and my brother who is 19 is extremely religious which is fine and i respect that but he somehow thinks that because i am 14 he can force to agree with everything that he believes which is what the Catholic Faith believes and i just don't. i am a Christian and i although i can see what you mean i do love God i just don't agree with a lot of the things that a lot of the branches of Christianity believe like:

4. i've only seen this in some of the sermons at my church but i've noticed that sometimes they say stuff like the wife should obey and serve her husband...He created us all equal let's keep it that way
5. the whole honor and obey your parents commandment thing: i think if our parents want us to "honor obey and respect" them then they should at least respect and love us too. i'm not saying every parent in the world is a bad one but some don't deserve to honored obeyed or respected THE END

I have a friend who is super religious and i love her to death because she's probably one of the nicest people I know... but she can be really controlling when it comes to loving god too. I told her that I didnt really like my dad and she flipped out on me. I didn't get it for awhile until someone told me one of the conmandments is to "honor your mom and dad."
I think "honor" and "like" are two totally different things too...

If you believed in the wrong God and did something like that, you would go to Hell. In some religions all you have to do is be a nice person. But it is impossible to be a nice person. Practically everything you do is wrong! Everyone deserves to be punished. What if you were a pedophile or something and you jumped in front of the bullet for your victim? Is that okay? i agree 100% about the religion thing. one of my old best friends found out i didnt go to church bc i just dont feel like it, and she like FLIPPED out and made me go to church with her the next day bc i had slept over her house. and she made other comments that pissed me off. i dont know how it came up but she started running her mouth about how if your gay your going to hell so i said well what if your kid ended up being gay? and she said oh well i would make him not gay...uhm wtf?
