Took my wife to the concert when Maze came to Greenwood, MS. She had an attitude on the way to the concert. So when we entered the show, she went to the left; I went to the right. Bought a six pack of beer, some popcorn and had the BEST time of my life. WITHOUT HER TOO !!!!! Shook the worm and the hook.
This is one group I regret not seeing in concert even though i had the chance.Anyone know why Frankie always use to wear caps?He wasn't bald was he?Great group!
I saw Frankie two weeks ago and it simply of the best concerts I have ever seen. Marvin, Teddy, Luther, Sam (Cook), Stevie, you have to count FRANKIE AMONG THE BEST!
My condolences to the surviving McKINLEY "BUG" WILLIAMS and MAZE Families. R.I.P. McKINLEY WILLIAMS.

One of the original members of Maze, McKinley "Bug" Williams, died from an apparent heart attack last night. He was a vocalist & percussionist extraordinaire who had been with Frankie from the beginning.
I got something to be thankful for..........I thank you for creating such a sound that soften our harden hearts. This music is a medicine for this sick world........only if they would listen. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!
I WANT TO THANK YOU FRANKIE B. AND MAZE FOR BEING THERE THROUGH THE" JOY AND PAIN". No, I want to "Thank You" Frankie Beverly & Maze for such great music that will never, never, never die! Like Madea said, "Maze hasn't put out a album since 1846, but they could sale out this venue tonight!" :We Are One" is just so moving & prophetic and as long as you keep doing live concerts - I'll be in the audience!
Yes Indeed ! This will always remind me of the long car trip from New York to down south during the summer with my mom and dad popping these in the tape deck. Pops singing the words and driving . Who knew I would have such a connection and love for this amazing music years later.
I saw the Maze concert in Mannheim, Germany in the mid 80's (1985 or 1986). It was awesome. They turned the place out! I was stationed in Hanau, Germany at the time and it was well worth the drive and speeding ticket to get there.
I feel that he was singing to God. He has had good blessing though out his life. I lost my mother. and then my son 2 years later and all that I could think of is the happy times and thank God for putting them in my life. And ask Him for the stringth to carry on, This song helps.
Man, it was the the late summer of 1983, bought my first car while in the Marine Corps. I drove from California to Louisiana alone, box of no-doze, 2 six packs of cokes, and 10 cassetts of which was "We Are One". Listened to it there and back, wore out the cassett only to buy another one. Can I say that I LOVE ME SOME MAZE... Still sounds like the day when I first bought it. It's true "Soul Music"
Hammersmith Oden mid 1980's was when I went to see Frankie Beverley & Maze - for FREE (my neighbours worked in the hotel where they were staying and they gave out free tickets). So to FB and Maze - I WANNA THANK YOU!
@dmissbee Haha! Yes indeed. Old school music is the best. The majority of these new school artists should be dragged out into the street and hanged or shot!
@BermudaEntrepreneur Yes you said a mouth full!!! hit the nail on the head... this is the real deal.. real music!!!!!! i wish i could give you 2 high fives.... yes!!! love this music..
Saw Maze in Philly last Sunday 9/05/10. A sold out show. Thousands outside the ampitheatre in the park sitting on their cars, in chairs and in the grass. The love people show for this group is beyond words.
Frankie you know that you're wearing those white pants. Look good on you baby. complement. music is awsome. bring back good old time and remories of family.
Maze is the best of the best! I'm 46 years old and the 1st time I heard maze was in the 70's and never stop listining to his smooth voice. Grove on brother.
I had to share this one, they just don't make music like this anymore! This is timeless and meaningful. We have been listening to it for more than 20 years. We won't say that 20 years from now about the garbage we hear on the radio today!
If you never seen a maze concert here's what to expect. you will feel a sprit come across the whole crowd. and a vibe that just gets into the deepest level of the sprit. Al O from Brooklyn.
@gmn234life mUST ADMIT YOU ARE SO RIGHT i WENT TO A CONCERT IN sT. pETERSBURG fl. BACK MIN 2005 AND IT WAS JUST A PEACEFUL SOUL FILLING IN THE AIR AND YOU JUST COULD NOT STAY IN YOUR SEAT....MY OLDER SISTER TOOK ME AND I HAD REFUSED THE OFEER WHAT A CONCERT...
No Grammy, Soul Train Award, American Music Award, etc.?!!!!!!! SMH! Seen these guys live at least 15 times and they never disapoint. Can they at LEAST get a lifetime achieivement?
I miss the Maze from back in the day and just to hear there music now bring back memories. Frankie Beverly have a unique vocal that nobody can master his talent. He truly a gifted to sing.A fan always. Thanks for posting.
I LOVE ME SOME FRANKIE BEVERLY AND MAZE' THEY SELL OUT CONCERTS ALL THE TIME' TRUE LEGENDS AND YES THEY GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY WORTH AND MORE' KEEP UP THE GOOD OLD MUSIC MAZE' THE CRAP THEY CALLIN MUSIC THE DOG'S ARE BARKIN TO IT' WHY?...........IT HURT THEIR EARS TOO.
Don't get no better than Maze! I've been in love with this group since the first time I ever heard them and when I saw for the first time it was a rap!
It was the Clark Sisters that brought me to this video and THANK GOD! I have TWO AMAZINGLY emotionally tugging versions of the same song with singers I adore TEARING IT UP! My Favorite Part is @ 4:44 ALL the way to the end!!! It just gets better and better!!! THANK GOD FOR CREATING TRUE ARTISTS!!!
@Tgabester Yes indeed! I can't stop watching them both. Got my Ma hooked on the Clark rendition as well. Jus love God's gift of music on these people!

I had to share this one, they just don't make music like this anymore! This is timeless and meaningful. We have been listening to it for more than 20 years. We won't say that 20 years from now about the garbage we hear on the radio today!
