i don't know, ragging on hipsters isn't as much fun anymore because the die has been cast and it has pretty much degenerated into self-parody at this point. besides, when the word 'hipster' is finding its way into TV scripts it's safe to assume that the trend has pretty much run its course. and, yes, it is a trend; a movement born out of necessity and later sold as prefabricated originality. and we've been sold this before, only it was called punk. or hippie. or goth. and we keep falling for it.

Put simply:

So-called hipsters make fun of themselves by conforming to someone else's concept of non-conformity and labels are just a way to sell a product.

I stand by every word I wrote, I'm not sorry for it, and use whatever sort of base, inflammatory language that suits you, I'm over it and I won't even be checking for your response (or lack thereof.) Cheers.
