Looks like the Gallardo jumped out ahead first. I think stock for stock a GTR from 09 or 10 should be a ahead of the Gallardo especially speeds below 140 mph.

Not sure why this vid depicts GTR behind all the way through... bad driver? "Bad" vehicle on "lower power"? 09 and 2010 are both the same power output and everything. Once again not sure why your other vid had the 2010 GTR as a little quicker.

Anything can happen on the streets so maybe there was something wrong with the GTRs.

As much as I enjoy your videos, I don't really like the videos where there is a lot of traffic out or even races taking place of public roads at all.

You never know when something on your car could malfunction, even if you are a professional race car driver.

Most professionals know it is not smart to race on a public road.  What if a tire blew and control is lost and you swerve into a car carrying a family in it?

It was stock at the time of this race, it isn't stock now however. I asked around about the flames and some owners told me that it was normal for stock G's to shoot flames.

@SuperFastHD that is typical for some high performance engines where the inside of the engine is moving so fast that some exhaust gas gets burnt at the last second. from time to time when running hot the GTR can also do that.

The flames are simply due to unburnt fuel being dumped into the exhaust system. When you hear a car backfiring during engine braking, it is the same concept, the fuel however is not being ignited.

My friend just bought a 2010 GTR, should be a bit faster than the 09 that I raced. I know this video is not as good as they usually are. I'll make sure I'll get another video of this vs. my G.

Btw, the footage in my video wasn't mine, so why would I fake it? But clearly, a 3800 lb car with 40 less horsepower must beat a car that is 400 lbs lighter and has 40 more horsepower since its "Godzilla". Great math.

I read in Car and Driver that Nissan slipped in a ringer GT-R and that they are not as fast as they claim. The article claims that Porsche bought one to verify Nissan's claims and found them to be full of shit. Still PDK (thats pretty damn quick for those who didnt know).

GT-Rs are weird because their engines are handbuilt, they have a tendency to variate in power. Meaning, some stock GTRs will be marginally slower than others. Some people just didn't like how Nissan, the media, and all the fanboys were working up the GTR to be some sort of God. It's a quick car for what it is, but I would not pay $80,000 USD for a Nissan ...

True perfromance has no badge IMO as i appreciate all vehicles in performance. I hate most domestics, but the ZR1 pretty much demands respect...even tho build quality is terrible.

I agree, however, I mentioned somewhere before that I think it's ridiculous that the GTR still commands a high premium and I think it would be smarter for people to wait for prices to come down to earth. It's not particularly Nissan's fault, but it's the silly dealers that refuse to realize the state of this economy.

Most are hovering around 84k tho, but when they first came out, some were 20k+ which was just foolish.

I dont know if you ever watch Top Gear but the GTR was faster around their test track than the LP640, Ferrari 430 Scuderia and the Carrera GT which is fast enough for me and quite incredible for a 4 seater! lol

BTW if you ever get a GTR be sure to post some vids for us lesser mortals who will never own one ;)
