I'm torn between this and Tom Tom Club's- this sounds slightly cooler but TTC's is the original and not much different so qudos to them.

Uffie's vocals sound obnoxious on the new one but DJ Mehdi gives it a nice spin at the end. Decisions decisions!

From just before 2:00 to 2:42 (it does start at 1:17, but that section only foes to 1:36) is a pretty inventive take for this song. It is one of these few songs that is rarely covered, probably as it is hard to do better than the original, and for the rest of this version, it is an exact copy, not quite as perfect as the Tom Tom Club's original versions. They should have begun with the original approach and limited the cover band stuff....

There was some great TTC vids of WordyRappinghood on here until recently. A great dance show video with the Scene Funkateers dancing to it and an amazing performance TTC did on some pop show back in the early 80's but the record industry is getting YT to pull everything; all music is going off YT. Even this COS vid will disappear soon. The music industry really does have it's head stuffed firmly up it's own ass.
