perk was a solid defensive player and solid rebounder and black shots too . and knew how to mive well without the ball where alot of his ofeense came from . great utility player cetics are gonna miss him
This is what I expect to see in the 11-12 season with both knees at 100%. He tweaked his other knee in the playoffs, but your NOT gonna miss the playoffs if you can put pressure on it
I can't believe this happened to Perk drafted as a Highschooler 8 years ago, he was the 2nd longest tenured Celtic behind Pierce. He's the franchise leader in career FG %.
Pros: second best one-on-on post defender in game, good helper below the basket, great defensive rebounder, always hustles, enforcer
Cons: ridiculously turnover prone, has no isolation offense, sets a lot of illegal screens, fouls face-up players outside of the paint a lot, too many defensive 3 second violations
Overall: he fills a very specific role...elite below the basket defensively, average or below average when speed or offense comes into the equation.
@Frilleon I agree with you. I think the defense improve because mainly of two reasons Serge Ibaka got more minutes that means more rebounds, block shots, and intimidation. Nazr has been excellent. He fits with the thunder skilled wise. I actually like Nazr more minutes because he boxes out and gets rebounds easier. If the thunder benched Green, they would have had same success because Green is terrible at stopping drives cause he's not shot blocker and he can't out rebound. Krstic is no defense
