  • Gillard is a high school Bogan drop out. Get rid of her ! Embarrassment to Australia ! Her accent is horrible -.-

  • we cant have keating back, and so we r doomed, run and hide, tony is coming.

  • Damn Keating was awesome. We desperately need a PM like him. Gillard is just so lacklustre, and Abbot is clearly a loon.

  • @manicmarkscm I agree, Gillard is far slower at ruining the economy!

  • LICE!! That's hilarious!

  • Keating had the BIGGEST brain in Parliment. His arrogance was always his worst feature...but he knows his shit....

  • Keating= Question Time Ownage!

  • Where do you get all your awesome Keating footage?

  • Comment removed

  • Screwed over the Australian economy? What an ignorant statement. This country would be a wasteland, or as the founder of Singapore put it so bluntly "the white trash of Asian", without the micro-economic industrial and financial reforms headed by Keating which makes the GST look like a policy written by alphabet spaghetti.

  • Good onya Keating best PM ever

  • "Mean spirited, bitchy little opposition leader" - well spoken. He forgot to add completely out of touch, cold-hearted, callous, and living in the world of Menzies.

  • Keating has a list of about 50 major economic and industrial reforms he achieved. Howard had 2 - GST and Work Choices. Only one of those survived. Howard rode the mining boom and gave the profits away as middle class welfare and created the property bubble with negative gearing and capital gains tax changes. Now families battle $350k mortgages.

  • @paulfitzpa Howard cut taxes year after year. Howard ran a policy of surpluses. Howard left the country with money in the bank. Labour has run up $150 Billion on the nations credit card in less than 4 years. Despite a mining boom.

Howard was respected by all who knew him personally. Can you say that about Keating?

  • @BrianWheatley69 No Howard gave us failed workplace reform, an illegal war in Iraq, signed a very bad free trade agreement with the USA which hurt Australian farmers, oversaw the biggest property bubble in Australia's history, gave out an additional 50 billion+ in middle class welfare leading to to families on 150k sucking on the government teet while building ZERO infrastructure. He gave us children overboard, SIEV X, he put kids behind razor wire, no wonder ICC (Cricket) didn't want him.

  • @paulfitzpa exactly right.

  • @BrianWheatley69 howard and costello cutting taxes was code for: "were not actually doing anything for the future but here's an extra bit of money that you can spend to distract you from finding out", howard left surpluses because he did bugger all spending, neglecting many areas of society which needed attention. The reason labor has spent 150 billion is to clean up the mess howard left by not doing anything, its how the cycle goes, liberal comes in does nothing, labor comes in and fixes it up.

  • @paulfitzpa You must have been just a little baby when interest rates were 18% and people were commiting suicide in droves under Keating you poor luv..oh the young people of today..

  • @therealshlong You do realise that housing is less affordable today compared to when interest rates were 17%? On average we pay a higher proprtion of incomes on mortgages than we did back then. Back then you could get a brand new home for 70k, buy a block of land for 15k buy a huge old queenslander for 60k. Compared to wages, houses are LESS affordable NOW with lower rates because the median house price is $500k and many carry $350k mortgages on $70k wages. Ignorant old bugger.

  • @adsensedd 1/ When interest rates are extremely high no one can afford to pay their mortgage so they sell, so does everyone else creating a flood on the market therefore cuts a huge % off the true market value! 2/ Demand has risen due to Labours open door immigration policy whilst adding further restrictions and taxes on the entire building industry in their typical socialist governance style, both have led to under supply and therefore a true market value. And you call me ignorant?!

  • @adsensedd It’s only the young who keep this party alive and we all bear its burden each generation, we would be a world power if we never had these socialist leaches sucking the country dry at every given opportunity with their union mates, jobs for the boys, lack of understanding of incentive economy growth, over spending, over borrowing, hidden Stalin style agendas, incompetence in governance, the list goes on..

    They are truly economic terrorists!

  • @paulfitzpa

Obviously you completely forgot or dropped off the continent when Keating was at the helm of "The Recession Australia Had to Have" and totally F&%Ked the Australia economy!

Australia and the Australian people have never been so wealthy as when they were under a Howard and Costello Government

As for riding the mining boom, these monkeys Gillard and Swan are riding the biggest mining boom in history but "STILL"!!!! cannot manage to return a surplus budget.

    WAKE UP!!!!!

  • @penfold357007 1990 recession = wake of 1987 stockmarket crash (global) and restructure of the australian economy. Growth period 1992 - present(?) as a result of low interest rates and global stability = surplus. 2008=GFC and Rudd goes into defecit. Now with US and Euro debt issues about to injur australias economy I suppose you are poised to blame the current government? Oz has one of the best economies in the world, since 1990 which prooves keating did NOT fuck it. yes i was there too!

  • @penfold357007 I think you're forgetting as a percentage of debt to GDP we only have 4% debt. Debt is not a bad thing when it is controlled and at our level, spending more than you take in is good for the economy when in troubling economic times (again when controlled, as it has been). Yet with all the media spin these days and lies of that moron we have for an opposition leader people just have no economic sense anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • @paulfitzpa - here-here, also don't forget the "recession we had to have" (thanks Paul), the budget that "brings home the bacon" (thanks Paul oik oik) and those 17% home loan mortgages - talk about families battling - (THANKS PAUL) not to mention the fact there was a nice 8.5% (apx) unemployment rate to help those same families in failing in their battle to retain their homes! Yes, Keating achieved all that and left Australia flat broke with $90b debt - Howard clearly had a red carpet ride!

  • long live howard when is rotting in hell for what he done to workers nationwide

  • Long live Howard!

  • keating showed how we should treat right wing nazis by telling them the truth for what they done and what they were about to do against the common workers workchoices was born under a fascist leader frogmouth howard the devil himself and now is writing books about lazarus the man that fucked IR laws to feed the greedy rich bastards rot in hell lazarus and take your book and give it to lucifer he's waiting for you in hell

  • what a stupid video - keating didn't screw the enonomy

  • 1:12.

    ORDER?

Sounds like they lost control of parliament again!

  • Up Scumbag!

  • Keatings description of Howard...

"Mr. Magoo minus the good intentions"

    LOL

  • I love you Paul ! You were a shit marxist union loving bastard, but a funny as hell bloke !

  • I Don't understand what you stand for either Swanny......Keating to me was inspirational....a progressive member of parliament who had the guts to say (in an absolutley cuttting and entertaining way) and deliver what he stood for. A real leader with some kind of vision for this country. This current election illustrates what i miss about Australian politics....true leaders that have a vision for our nation that are prepared to enunciate clearly and stand firm on that vision.

  • So what's the deal Swanny? You hate Paul Keating or you love him? You seem to post so many videos about him, but they're all "Keating fucked the economy".

Lets admit it Swanny, deep down you want him in your arms; you want to hold him tenderly and touch him on the senate.

  • @aherhaerherhae hear, hear !!

  • look at Hewson even laughing at 1:55 rofl, absolute crack up

  • Hawke and Keating setup the Australian economy for Howard to ride to prosperity. Just think floating the AUS dollar, privatising the Commonwealth bank, Medicare, deregulating finacial markets. Hawke and Keating = prosperity, prosperity, prosperity. Howard and Costello sold 75% of Australia's gold reserve at bottom dollar, sold Telstra to Australian super funds at $4.70 which are now below $3.00, meanwhile Telstra failed to deliver services to rural Australia and raised complaints byt over 400%.

  • Wasn't Keating right about the opposition - sadly they were in government for a decade until the rest of Australia relised that.

  • lmao@old acid drop

  • Unfortunately Swannysback misses the mark completely when he says:

    "Keating's Greatest Success Was?

    a) Helping Form APEC

    b) Winning the 1993 Election

    c) Totally Fucking the Australian Economy"

Keating's greatest success was introducing the 9% Superannuation Scheme - thereby avoiding a social security collapse in the distant future.

The social and economic benefits of this ingenious economic innovation will be felt for decades - perhaps even generations - to come...

  • LOL@ lice.

  • Paul Keating lost to the Australian public reading crap out of Fairfax( Liberal donors) papers about Italian suits and swiss clocks.I wipe my arse SMH et all

  • Our best P.M !!!

  • Keating; the last true Aussie PM. Knew how to sledge the opposition into oblivion for talking out of their asses. To hell with all this scripted, teleprompter'd nonsense.

  • maybe spell the title right. it's keating's.

  • Keating was amazing. Brilliant mind, brilliant leadership.

  • rode the wave for 10 years cmon mate

  • @AlienBusDriver Rode the cycle for 10 years.

  • PJK was the greatest

  • We need PK back in the hot seat. Two donkeys to choose from this year.

  • seems to be the only high point of his tarnished politial career

  • I miss his lip.

  • Comment removed

  • This was the days when you'd actually watch the parliment sessions, you never knew what was going to happen, politics used to be a great show when PK held sway

  • I want to be like Keating one day. To be that awesome must be hard.

  • The best there is, the best there was - the best that ever will be - look at the pure fiction generated about wrecking the economy - he went to treasury to plead for interest rates to be brought down in 89 - liberal plant in treasury scuppered any chance of that happening - PK was framed,. and Howard the little dessicated cocanut dined out on that one for 15 years and then he lost his seat - little cunt

  • Epic

  • Keating is GOD. Australia got rid of Howfart three years ago, but Rudd can't reverse the 11 years of corporate capitalism evil that Little Johnny foisted upon us. gdp has skyocketed. Supposedly. Quality of life has plummeted,

  • BoldBenHall I suppose Howard caused the world recession too.

  • @BoldBenHall So, uh, i guess i'm supposed to believe that our current HDI score is an indicator of our tragic quality of life?

  • fuckin a right man - PK is a self taught genius. The facist hacks out there hate him because no pegged the right wing crazies better than PK. Bill Heffernan apparently tried doing one of his bully boy confrontations in a stair well in parliament house when PK was cleaning out his office in 96 - Keating told him he'd throw him down the stairs and then broke his thumb to give him a message that he wouldn't be fucked with by a hick from nowhere. Had problems with female staff pursuing him

  • Goood choice of music! Funny. I think someone should make a similar video but with the jingle to 'Gomer Pyle - US PCA' in the background.

  • Fucking Love Aussie Politicss!!

    im so bakedededeg

  • Comment removed

  • A rather emphatic "Order!" at 0:41

  • Pansies in the senate. LOL

  • I just think it is great that a Tory PM can lose his seat at an election. That is the biggest slap in the face and well deserved. What a legacy!!!

  • Yes, like taking our rifles from us, giving us the bloody GST and stripping us of our rights in the work place. What a fucking wanker Howard was

  • Keating is right, the Libs are a "disgraceful, tawdry, squalid party"

  • I love how this is taken out of context. I don't know if you have noticed, but the world has changed a little. I don't agree with everything Labor does, but at least they don't try and force asylum seekers to pay for their own detention.

  • thats right it was labor who originally implemented the detention centres under keating. i imagine the coalition were doing it to act as a deterrent to others.

  • That's true Keating did bring it in and it was a cruel policy. A deterrent? To who? Asylum seekers? If you were fleeing humanitarian conflict and seeking a safe haven would you bother checking out border security laws? Don't play this people smuggler card Liberals always play because it's not those who suffer, it's the asylum seekers. We don't make murderers or rapists pay for their own incarceration, so why asylum seekers?

  • if the people had a genuine reason to come to the country then i think it is unfair to make them pay for it.

however what should we do with every single person who arrives on our shores? it would be a nightmare if we let anyone who hops in a boat into the nation.

  • The people who arrive on our shores are detained anyway, but we shouldn't make them pay for their own detention...that's immoral

  • fair enough i agree with you there. its a bit stupid. i think the opposition are making the big mistake of opposing everything the government does, while the key to good opposition is being selective. thats what rudd ended up doing.

  • They should at least be made to pay for some of it. Either that or turned back straight away on the high seas and sent right back to where they came from. I don't care if they will be persecuted, NOT MY PROBLEM!! We are one of the highest taxed workforces in the world. I object to my taxes paying for somone coming coming in illegally. Come legally or do not come at all. Under the UNHCR treaty we already take on political refugees. We don't need more.

  • @jampt1989 but Currently he is so good at destroying what is left of the NSW ALP... and fun to watch them fighting

  • @jampt1989 gillard and rudd?

  • SWITCHHITTER

  • Our greatest PM! And what glories for the Tories with young Lexie as their leader! - the Things that Batter. How great to see them back in Opposition where they belong.

  • Workchoices= Fraud Corruption,and Stupidity.

  • Workchoices= A damn fine policy, unfortunately explotied by bastard employers

    Workchoices= Keeps YOU employed

    Ignorant=You

  • 'damn fine policy'? are you off your head. you cant excuse policy because it was exploited by employers, it was always going to happen like that and the liberals knew it. as for workchoices keeping people employed, you are wrong again. unions keep people employed, all workchoices did was make it easy for employers to terminate your employment far easier

  • Imagine WorkChoices being properly regulated.

ie, goverment intervention whenever a guy got screwed over.

  • no, workchoices was developed because the IR laws needed to be revised to reflect the current situation. the bulk of the legislation was composed back under hawke when unemployment was double what it was today. workchoices made it easier to get employed because the past laws meant employers were too scared to employ anyone because theyd get screwed over by the unions if they werent suitable for the job. result? no-one got hired and gets a chance

  • Hahahaha!! Keating at his best. The best pm,smashing these pieces of crap.Exposing what they truly are!Lice,LOL!!!!

  • DUDD RUDD = Debt and Unemployment!!

  • keating straightened out the economy and howard rode his wave

  • so true.

  • You are joking...aren't you!

    Labor LIARS!

  • howard was the biggest liar on either side of politics. gst, kids overboard. enough said.

  • Labor crap!!!

    Labor= Fraud and Corruption

  • Amen to that

  • You absolute ignorant pion !

You obviously never worked in private industry and owned a business.

He destroyed business and let all the imports in and destroyed australian manufacturing.

He created taxes and made life hell for business owners with both IR and taxes.

    You have no idea...

  • it's called globalisation, stupid.

  • You absolute ignorant pion !

You obviously never worked in private industry and owned a business.

He destroyed business and let all the imports in and destroyed australian manufacturing.

He created taxes and made life hell for business owners with both IR and taxes.

    You have no idea...

  • you are right i have no idea so i'll keep this short as my very succesful business requires me to be there for my employees whom are happy and keen due to succesful IR laws as for taxes if people cant work it out they shouldn't be there. its people like you that would have the average Aussie working in 3rd world conditions. ohhh and yes i'm in the private sector

  • NO

it's not people like me that would have the average aussie worker working in 3rd world conditions.

If you have really been working in private business for so long then you would know how keating destroyed the ability to employ people and how you can't get rid of dead wood. Further to this, you would know about all the punitive taxes he placed on small business that helped make the economy weaker.

Get some real business acumen and get back to me. You have no idea.

    Your BA is no use.

  • Dead wood ???, Business acumen ? Weaker economy? Dead wood comes from typical attitudes like yours if you had any acumen at all you would be able to see the dead wood before you employed it but hang on i've seen beautiful carvings made from both drift wood and dead wood. and as for selling us out that desicated little coconut john howard did a very good job of this now if i'm right which i may not be but i doubt it, wasnt it his new IR laws that failed him at the last elections

  • ha yes mate you've hit it one. this other clown has no idea, good to see someone that thinks like you actually owns a business

  • Comment removed

  • @vinygee thats right, keating brought all the reforms about and howard took the credit for it lol

  • @vinygee wow i was beginning to think we have run out of people liek you

  • @vinygee With 18% interest rates?

  • @PhDEconomics You should really check your facts and see what state the economy was in under the influence of Mr Malcom fraser and its fact that john howard did nothing economically but follow keatings polocies..... i rest my case

  • @vinygee Didnt answer my question marxist. We'll end the debate here neanderthal. P.S. I like your grammar.

  • @PhDEconomics is that the best insult you can deliver at the ripe age of 26 ? you can end any debate you like . i wasn't rude or derogatory towards you in any way was i ? hang on i have to go for a minute, the phones ringing ! ............. oh its O.k, it was just your village and their looking for their idiot, shall i tell them where you are ?

  • @vinygee exactly

  • @vinygee bullcrap.

  • @vinygee You cannot actually believe that... surely... the Liberals did many things poorly, but managing the economy was something that they did very well.

  • @tybaltyrant1 I stand by my statement, Paul Keating straightened outte economy and put a plan in motion which had begun when he was Made PM ....... John Howard Changed nothing in the beginning and this made him succesful in his first 2 terms. Then the George Bush Arse licking parasite started introducing his own ideas , well the Ideas of the Liberals and it all turned to crap this is Fact

  • @vinygee Touche.

  • "lead by a mean spirited bitchy little opposition leader" haha

  • Perfectly describes Lord Downer!

    LOL

  • Keating was Australias greatest PM.

  • If you are into aggorant arsehloes I guess he might have been.

He sent the country bankrupt but was no match for KRUDD......he is going to do it in less then 3 years..LOL

  • Yeh, we're much better off with liars who take us to war under false spin. Keep waggin' that dog tail!

  • Yeh well sometimes you have to stand up and fight!!

  • Have you still got a job...or is NEWSTART alright by you!!

  • NEWSTART rocks~! How do you reckon we got here?

  • @dvscorp Their is no was about it he still is. their will never be a successor to his ways.

Even worse if we let a poncy little fuck like abbott take over Australia will be forever fucked.

  • The dogs bark but the carnival moves on - to quote PJK and one of his best mots.

  • Swanny I note today your opposie number (Ms Bishop) has been despatched and replaced with Hockey the Hutt!

  • I'm currently studying for my Bar exams in England and I'm really worried about the influence PJK is having on my debating style! It really doesn't wash with the pompous English barrister type at all!...

Makes life a bit more fun though!

  • Pansies in the Senate LOL

  • Comment removed

  • what is it with u and keating?

  • I'm a Liberal voter, but Keating is funny and interesting. Only decent Labor politician IMO.

  • A Liberal voter that like Rugby League???

WTF??? I have never heard of that before?

  • one too many knocks to the head perhaps? thats presuming he plays.

  • LOL

Rugby League is a mans game

The last thing you would expect is some upper class snob Liberal voter to be playing

  • wasnt suggesting he was an upper class snob, just a moron =D

  • More Keating classics please.

  • Welcome back Swanny! Any word yet on when to expect 'Swanny!' the Musical?

  • Howard smashed Keating big time in Parliament in 1996.

  • He may have smashed him at the polls of that year but NO ONE smashed Keating in Parliament!!

  • woooooooooo swanny IS BACK!

  • This is the video we had to have.

  • ahahah Keating
