  • any one know where this quote is, its for an american history assigment

Respond to the quote: “Those in power should be held responsible not only for what they do but for what they do not do.”

  • I love this movie. I got to watch it for my senior seminar Pols.Science 490 ""The Right to Vote". It truly tells the story of the struggle for women suffrage in America. I must be watch by all.

  • yeah me either

  • i don't like how Alice thinks smart, determined, career driven women can't have kids too

  • @ExAxLxPx12 the can but the more educated women tend not to although the number dropped recently.

  • @ExAxLxPx12: I think that it was because, at that time, women had to choose one or the other. Today women have the option of choosing to do both; however, as the movie shows, you were either a stay at home mother or a "radical" suffragette. It's a thought encapsulated in that time.

  • @gapcapgrl I think thats Exactly right, most women died from child birth then. And since they weren't allowed to use child birth, most husbands at that time went to see prostitutes (It was actually considered doing them a favor)

  • @ExAxLxPx12 Hey I know im late on a reply lol but it was because back then you had to choose either be a house wife or a career driven woman.
