The definition of Barbershop harmony requires a particular relationship between tones, as well as a certain amount of minor 7ths throughout the piece. There are many other difining composition requirements, but

these performers, who are well trained good vocalists, were performing a harmony piece which had very little of what can be called Barbershop.

yeah man, relax. it's not barbershop, but it's still cool. I don't think you'll find a barbershopper out there who is trying to discourage people from singing.

Very true. I was thinking that myself before I read the comments. Good descriptiong of barbershop too. This is just a capella singing. It's good but it's not barbershop.
