I always liked Bill, I like him even more now. He's absolutely right, and anyone who can't see that is either a troll or a blithering idiot. Ron Paul revolution!
I love Bill man, I think he would be the first person to laugh at the fact that the only thing he said about Ron Paul's ideas is the exact opposite of what Ron Paul believes. Not to get whatever, but Ron Paul is like the most anti-regulation politician we've ever had. He literally could not be more wrong. Sorry for being a dick, Bill rules.
@MickyG4444 Do realize that government regulation is what got us into this shit in the first place? Conniving legalization has allowed the corporations to buy the government so now they make the rules. Unless you are a special interest group with pockets lined with gold ol' Uncle Sam doesn't give a shit. The only one speaking out about it is Ron Paul and he gets stuck with the crazy stigma. Be sure to listen to Ron Paul and not the smear campaign against him.
@MickyG4444 wow what a really insightful and informative comment! Your constructive criticism and well thought out opinions have inspired me to rethink my stance. The evidence you provide... wait, you have provided nothing but unsubstantiated claims like "the only thing he said about Ron Paul's ideas is the exact opposite of what Ron Paul believes"
Obviously you have never actually listened to Ron whereas Bill has.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks Alright now that you've doubled down on your lack of reading comprehension, let me just tell you why your an idiot and quit. "These bankers need to be regulated" who said that Bill Burr or Ron Paul. I have not expressed a personal view, you don't actually know how I feel about Ron Paul. That's what Bill Burr gave as a reason he loves Ron Paul, and Ron Paul is the most anti-regulation candidate ever. I just thought that was funny. Go fuck yourself.
@MickyG4444 The way Bill means regulated and the way regulations are legislated are two different things. Regulations as they now exist in our government are manipulated by those in power, it is a distortion of the term. There will always be regulation on some level, there is no getting around it. Paul is against those in power making up their own rules and hiding activity with "regulation". That is why the Fed doesn't want to be audited. Go suck your own dick ya fairy.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks The fuck you know about what Bill thinks. You still have no idea what I think, and I'm not telling you what I think because what I pointed out was so fucking simple and just an idea I thought was funny not not anti or pro Paul idea, and here you are in campaign mode you fuckin twat. Many of us would take regulate banks to mean reinstate Glass-stiegal, for most I think that comes to mind before auditing the fed. I'm not saying one is better than the other either.
@MickyG4444 It doesn't take a genius to figure out what Bill meant. In contrast you have no idea what I think as you feel I am in "campaign mode". I don't like Ron Paul because I agree with all his policies, I like him because he is the most realistic and honest out of all of them . If anything I am pissed off that he is the only Libertarian candidate and I therefore don't have much of a choice. BTW Paul voted AGAINST the repeal of Glass-Steagall, Einstein.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks NIGGA, SHUT THE FUCK UP, I SUPPORT RON PAUL YOU FUCKING DUMB MOTHER FUCKER! YOU ARE FUCKING DUMB. SHUT THE FUCK UP! Jesus, Bill gives a vague explanation that cites regulation talking about the most libertarian candidate we have ever had, and I thought that was funny. You don't know what Bill thinks it's not obvious I don't either. Regulate the banks could just as easilly be said at the Democratice National convention or at Obama's press conference. GO FUCK YOURSELF.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks This got nothin to do with ball bustin. You give five answers before you know what your answering, and I got a lot of time on my hands at the moment. Just make sure you read.
@MickyG4444 Oh and you sure helped elaborate your points with well thought out arguments. If you want a clear answer then I would suggest trying not to be such an ambiguous, aggressive little prick and actually puts some thought into your replies instead of using the strings of insults you rely on to convey your message. Tie your balls to a cinder block and drop it off a bridge.
@MickyG4444 No it wasn't, you're just a confrontational douche.
You could have resolved this from your first reply if you were just like "No, actually this is what I meant". Instead your the type of guy that is all like "Your a fucking idiot you fucking fuck". Nobody likes you because douchebags are unlikeable.
I respect Bill Burr and agree with a lot of his views. And thats exactly why Bill shouldnt, and if he knew the reality wouldnt support Ron Paul
Ron Paul supports abolishing the Department of Labor and the NLRB. Bill supports unions, with the NLRB nearly every union in the country would go under over night (minus the ILWU and IWW and the UMWA).
Paul does not believe in regulating anything, that includes risky Wall St derivatives bets that tanked the economy, or corporations.
@SocialistaTribalista Regulations got us into this mess. The corporations lobbied and legislated he government away from the people and now the regulations are whatever they say they are. That is how Wall St failed in the most vile, corrupt way possible but managed to not only survive the fucking of the world economy but got a fat bonus to top it off.
I would disagree completely sir, the fact that the Treasury Dep. was able to give trillions to the Federal Reserve and to the banks through back door bailouts via AIG under no oversight is a lack or regulation of where our money is going, the merger of Citicorp & Travelers was a result of the repeal of Glass Stegel (regulation). I can go onm
What I said still remains, he wants to abolish the NLRB and the Dep of Labor, which would KILL labor (save a few unions)
@SocialistaTribalista You cannot force people to be good, big government isn't going to solve our problems. The government had been legislated into such a convoluted mess that even the most educated lawyers have no hopes in understanding it all, a tactic of obfuscation. The corporations control the regulations via lobbying, that is why they never do any good and why more won't help.
Ron Paul's right, people will try to discredit him just because he has links with white supremacist organizations and wrote overtly racist newsletters, but just because he wants to repel immigrants, doesn't mean he's a bad guy, and he hits the right notes elsewhere. Besides, everyone's a bit racist, so what if Ron Paul is more than most. VOTE RON PAUL!
@yellowfolder He doesn't want to repel immigrants, he wants to secure the boarders and implement a reasonable immigration policy instead of the mess of a one we have now. But yes, Ron Paul does look promising. It is just sad that there are not more Libertarian candidates.
I have only voted once in my life, and that was for Obama. Now it's time to get out the house again, and vote for Ron Paul. The only honest, straightforward guy. Rest of em are crooks.
Ron Paul does say some of the right things, I was so on board untill I heard him talking about the economy and I knew better than to just deregulate everything, and then I was thinking I am such a douche bag for saying so much good sh*t about Ron Paul. But he does talk straight.
@zepherighost there's a reason he doesn't believe in regulation. Ask yourself this: Who regulates the regulators? And who writes the regulation? The corporations do (through the influence of lobbyists and the "revolving door"). In effect, they're using the gov to enforce a monopoly. They would have less power in a free market since they would not be propped up by government artificially.
I had the same thought initially as you but when I researched his positions more I was convinced.
@IcyScythe yeah but at the same time if there was no regulation wouldnt shit still be bad? or most likely worse since they can be even more secretive?
@anessone well there will always be abuse of power, but think of it this way, if a corporation isn't propped up by gov, it is more susceptible to going bankrupt through mass boycotts etc.
Hard to boycott a company if they're getting payoffs thru gov courtesy of taxpayers.
Competition also will force them to "behave". It's hard to compete when you have mega corporations backed up by the gov.
@IcyScythe yeah but what if they get smart like rockefeller where with the oil companies they had trustees and they kind of worked together so it was fake competition.
