Hey asshole liberalelitistmedia...show me where "Separation of church and state" exists in the CONSTITUTION" how about nowhere!!!...You better get your petroleum Jelly out for the next elections...you are going to need it... after we teabag your dick nose you are going to get a right wing ass fucking as you get hammered in the 2010 mid-term elections!!!
"Separation of church on state" is not in the constitution, it's not even implied. Man, you must have been a shittly law student. Part of the first amendment is there so the government is not made into a theocracy. Now a days most secularists attack religion, it's not the other way around. Yet I was surprised that you approve of "Under God" in the pledge. You said most students sleep during the pledge, Hey like you slept during Reverend Wright's racists sermons.
@mikepiazza That is funny man LOL you must have been in the same constitution class as Teabagger Christine ODonnell.
You assholes worry about building the mosque at ground Zero so us secularists can focus on taking under god back out of the pledge and in god we trust off the money.
im sry but ass hole shawrtery ur going to hell i dont pray for him to get hit by a truck but i dont believe in his shit so dont judge me if u dont know me!
I love this man and LOVE this speech!!!! This Landslide victory is hardly surprising. Americans are sick of the religious right... as they should be!!
landslide???? he won by like 7%, haha, and that's thanks to the liberally slanted media on a witch hunt for republicans/palin. I am sure 4 mos later u regret your vote, oh yeah your not American never mind, your a socialist. obama bending over for world leaders (literally) and putting down America... god help the USA under obamas rule.
dude, your so right. It is really sad that people seem to think it was a landslide victory, even though it was far from a landslide. That is certainly because of the blatent bias that the media has.
Every time I listen to this speech I am reminded of how stupid Berri is.
The "separation" term was from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to Baptists, assuring them of Religious Freedom and Liberty free from the Governments interference, not to keep God out of our schools and institutions.
" I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State."
Maybe separation of church and state is not not to keep 'god' out of peoples heads but it definitely is to keep one groups notion of 'god' from being the official state religious delusion, No more George W Bush's (with or without lipstick)!
It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here. Patrick Henry [May 1765 Speech to the House of Burgesses]
actually the problem for me with obama is that he's relating things from 2000 years ago...and that is a problem because christians do not live in the past...muslims do...they are still living like it was 2,000 years ago and therefore are taking things quite literally out of the bible. if we go down this road...then christians ARE right.
If Obama were running for president of France then if he were qualified in earthly matters, he could be elected as an atheist. It is America. I would have more faith in him if I were sure what he was saying about 'god' was lip service. Rermember, it was Jesus who told George W. to go to Iraq. I think America will be far better off if its leader didn't keep imaginary friends.
well saying that jesus spoke to Bush...in what way...that's not all that uncommon with someone that is Christian. Doesn't make you a nut case. what we DO know is that muslims attacked us and we don't need someone in office that is sympathetic to muslims.
Can you idiots stop taking about Ron Paul for one second? He's not even a serious candidate- a few thousand fringe internet trolls do not equate to a serious base. Every political video I see on Youtube is spammed by Ron Paul supporting idiots who have no idea what Paul actually stands for. The Gold Standard? Are you F'ing kidding me?
Yeah, but you must understand that the US economy is seriously risking a depression, it's inflation is huge, it's debts are huge (Overseas and to their own federal bank) , it's spending is MASSIVE, and it's infrastructure is crumbling. Barack is awesome but I think they need a Ron Paul right now. American's need their freedom restored, their rights re-established, their economy in balance and their armies out of places they needn't be and I believe Ron can do it.
If the united states wasn't at present the only world power, watching who wins, would only be like watching football. Right now American needs a miricle. You and I have commented back and forth enough for me to know, we both know, it isn't going to happen.
It's easy to think he's wacko, especially if you don't know much about economics or the American monetary system. I would be extremely happy however if Obama won.

But then again, since Ron is never going to win it's probably better to vote for Obama.
