All state testing is pointless not just FCAT alone. Oh and by the way in case anyone knows you don't get held back for failing FCAT. Ohhhh no it's much worse if you were to fail say the math FCAT for instance and u were in 8th grade, you have to repeat 8th grade math all over again in high school, it's so degrading and just unfair.

My test was invalidated today because I went back to finish work in session 3 when we were on session 4.

Yeah....apparently, they (the State and School) don't like that.

Fuck the FCAT, and everything about it.

Not only is it a waste of resources, but it basically ruins all real teaching for "FCAT prep-time".

The school preasures you to do well so they get more funding, and the State makes it as hard as they possibly can so you fail; because they hate funding Public Schools.

I don't really care at all. I have autism with an IEP and I take English Honors, and Hopefully I'm predicted to get a High 3 or 4, and for all I care, FCAT does suck, Its not that Important, Colleges don't even look at it.

Dont stress out to much as i have an iep myself and i was listed as LH - Learning Handicapped but i tested out of it. Not im listed as ED - Emotionally Disturbed and im taking a test to get out of it if that doesn't succeed i'll just have my parents vouch for me at the meeting. I doubt you'll be listed as one of them you seem perfectly fine... you'll probably just be listed as RSP which is the Resource Program which is not as acute as the other ones.

It totally sucks that you got hit by the FCAT. I was in the same situation until halfway through 12th Grade, and I finally trumped FCAT Reading. And I'm in college now, doing fantastically. Further proof that the FCAT is garbage. I've written a letter to the governor, but I don't think education is too important to Mr. Crist...

But yeah. I wish you the best of luck getting through FCAT. I can only hope that the shenanigans have stopped by the time I have a kid in 3rd grade.

I used to freeze on tests all the time , yet i was an A student, I got over it by singing all my things i needed to test on (using music to memorize it). If i am not mistaken, i believe there is a do over on the FCATS, i some how remember it

Thats nothin, In New York my High School is in the top 1.7 percentile of the Country so we have to pass with an 85 or Higher.
