Always sweet potato pie. Indeed. My friends out here in California don't understand. I'm not even from the south, I'm from NYC, but chicken shacks sold small $1 dollar sweet potato pies by the train station. I miss it.

can I make sugestion when you put pie crust in oven for 15 mins put another empty 8inch pie tin inside that pie shell before you put it in oven and flip it over on a sheet pan so it bakes upside down.Reason for other pie tin inside is to prevent air pockets from forming under pie crust which can break pie crust when pouring batter into pie shell

Other than the part about you licking the knife, I thought you did very well. Brothas do need to know how to cook for themselves. I showed my 21 year old 'ALL MAN' nephew how to make cupcakes and he loved it.

Whats better...baking the potatoes or boiling the potatoes?  I'm recieving confliciting information from people.....old folks say bake...young people say boil...

Bake them! You really can tell the difference. It brings out the flavor of the sweet potatoes much better.
