Please don't take my comments below as a knock on Joe B. It isn't. Joe is a monster technician. He'll probably be remembered as one of the greats but I would be willing to bet if you were to ask any major artist who they would prefer to use in a studio, Jack would win hands down. The reasons: taste, technique & tone.
To moseseses or whatever: Are you out of your fucking mind? Jack Pearson is regarded by most guitarists (including Joe B, I'm sure) as being one of the finest guitarists on the planet. I LOVE Joe B but he is not worthy of carrying Jack's guitar case. Joe is superb at what he does (blues based rock) but Jack can play anything. Jack's slide technique and jazz ear are miles ahead of Joe's. Try and learn the difference between chops and artistry.
I'm glad to know that the smoke was coming from a cigarette. I thought that his guitar was starting to smolder. Good thing he stopped playing long enough to let it cool back down before it burst into flames. That was a close call. Thanks for the post Brownie1958.

This sounds horrible, and I mean horrible. And he trashes himself with that nasty cigarette in his mouth. uuh, get a life, and I really feel sorry for the ones who are out there in the croud being turned on by this twangy bobwire sounding chicken scratch. These people have to be demonically drunk to enjoy this horrible sounding noise. Please get that guitar out of his hands, I can't stand that sound. If you want to know who THE MAN IS, CHECK OUT JOE BONAMASSA, then you will hear talent.
Next time you're with Joe, ask him what he thinks about Pearson. You are going to be surprised. As to the sound of this clip, it's from a party in the Gibson parking lot, audio ain't they're specialty.
Yea they do share a resemblence no doubt, back in 03 when I was like 18, I was at a urinal and got to talkin to a gtrist..turns out aftr the fact it was pearson haha
