  • holy balls shit ass fuck bitch

  • fucking amazing!

  • I wish these guys would come to America for a tour...SERIOUS TALENT!!

  • pandora brought me here XD when i was listening to buckethead but damn i fell in love with this bad ass band first song i heard

  • my ears are complaining because this song kicks their asses every time they listen to it

  • Reminds me of Dream Theater so much. This stuff is so good.

  • this fucking kicks ass!!! shut the fuck up about DT this is Circus Maximus!

  • Dream Theater are the epitome of a bunch of faggots.

  • Dat intro!

  • 3 people are so intimidated by this song that they had no choice but to hit Dislike

  • Top Shelf stuff!

  • 2:54 = Eargasm

  • Why does this song kick the most ass?

  • @bassguitarkeybordwiz Not true. When you make a turkey sandwich, you end up with a delicious turkey sandwich. When you compare bands, you get no sandwich and start a meaningless apples-to-oranges discussion.

  • Fucking fantastic.

  • I love how everyone here thinks musical tastes are some sort of dick measuring contest. Who cares if CM or DT is better, or that they are stylistically similar? I enjoy and listen to both, and quite frankly I have better things to do with my time than compare them and berate anyone who disagrees with my conclusions. Grow up and listen to what you like and leave everyone else the hell alone.

  • DT can suck a dick because James Labrie isn't anywhere close to as good as Michael Eriksen. Sure the style sounds similar, but i prefer Circus Maximus to DT any day.

  • @OsamaNibLaden really?

  • @OsamaNibLaden The thing is; no DT, no CM...

  • I find the intro somehow amusing and badass at the same time

  • Cant... handle... overwhelming epicness....

  • I'm pretty sure that all the members of this band own Metropolis 2, and it's probably in their CD players right now.... Just sayin'...

    Spectacular job though!

  • que

    buen

    tema!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beyond obvious Dream Theater influence. To the point of utter ripoff. The awesome thing is, they actually do it better than Dream Theater.

  • @TheBanyanEmperor come on, they are good, but they aren't better than DT, the compositions and the armonies in DT songs are unmatchable. I like Circus Maximus too, but I dont compare them

  • @JaVSnIpEr This is cleaner, better produced, better tone.... They use nearly the EXACT same ideas that are found in Dream Theater songs....it's criminal, really....but they do play it better. I don't understand how you aren't hearing this.

Maybe you're saying that DT orders these EXACT same ideas in a different order and that's more pleasing....I won't argue with that, but it's the actual playing that I am referring to.

  • @TheBanyanEmperor Not to complain but I qould never compare them, not at all at skills. They are all masters of the class. Although the thing is that Petrucci is Petrucci and I hardly believe Mats doesn't play that well live.

Yet, this song is just too awesome not to be noticed.

  • There are alot prog metal bands out there with DT as main influence but id say this is something else.. i prefer this so much over bands like symphonyX and that kinda stuff

  • HOLYSHIT!

  • Estoy cansado de ver que a todas las bandas de metal progresivo las catalogan a que si son o no parecidas a Dream Theater, no todo el metal progresivo es DT y DT no es lo único que existe, me parece una visión muy estrecha de las cosas.

  • Great band & this is a great album!....BUT, this sounds way to much like Dream Theater.

  • great one of the top acts in prog metal aewsomw singer. i been waiting for there new album forever now and im giving up on it . it was supposed to be released in september 2010 whats the hold up heez!!!!!! come on guys!!!!!

  • one day ill manage to write a song 1/4 as complicated, yet so connected... that day aint gonna be anytime soon :(

  • awesome the best yet

  • two things...DT is still "this" progressive as well as "can make a song that is progressive and heavy at the same time." DT are the Kings and always will be. however, this song is outstanding as is circus maximus and they are just as important going forward in this genre as any band. but this composition would not have been imaginable if it weren't for DTs earlier songwriting.

  • The keyboard solo sounds like something from Dream Theater's Ytse Jam.

  • They sound just like Dream Theater. Love it.... Came on my Pandora - Joe Satriani channel today - first time I've heard of them....

  • so good!

  • that is the BEST instrumental track i have ever heard!

  • I really like the sound at 3:39 !

    Futur best progressive band !

  • Comment removed

  • OMG This is the best fucking progressive i´ have ever heard in my life. of course whit dream theater ^^

  • UAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa fuking good

what a godes, one of the most incredible and difficult songs , my god I still can't believe this, really great and intelligent conposers

    Daaaaaaamnnnnnn

  • fucking geniuses...what a track

    \m/. CIRCUS MAXIMUS .\m/

  • yes these guys r very dream theater influenced and it's damn good these guys have the skills and this song is great

  • for more of good prog like these listen to Andromeda, Dalis dilemma, Serenity, tool, liquid tension experiment,

  • I'd recommend old Evergrey for fans of this. Listen to anything off of Recreation Day or In Search Of Truth for example.

  • Don't forget Pagan's Mind.

  • mi favorita de Circus Maximus

  • circus maximus is my 2nd fav band behind dream theater they are both AWESOME!!!

  • The fact that these guys can play this makes me almost depressed. Best band I've heard in years.

  • wow, I just crapped my pants.

  • This song is AMAZING, I just heard it on Pandora and nearly crapped my pants.

  • same thing lol, was on my black mages radio

  • I THINK The Dance of Eternity was the inspiration to write this song, but it's my opinion, because Sane no more has some ideas of TDoE. But this song is great as TDoE.

    Circus Maximus Rulesss! \m/_

  • I agree, lots of simmilar elements. I think I prefer dance of eternity, but this is still awesome.

  • man, this is a masterpiece of art!!

  • this is good fucking music.

  • i love all ther songs there very talented and it shows!!!playing the circus maximus in my killer car system for my nephew with the jl audio 10 in ch sub and a ppi pc 6600 amp with diamond audio speakers and a hifonics us made amp to the woofer .i blew us out of monte carlofor an hour.the circus maximus has killer sound and it just slams bass.

  • look at me! I have a great car system!

  • I think this is my fav. prog song !!

  • It sounds of early Dream Theater.

  • la hacen bien pero los padres de este genero son dream theater!!!!

  • I wish DT were still this progressive

  • yeah you are right in some ways DT cannot make a song that is this progressive and heavy at the same time

  • You're kidding right lmfao. The guitarist even states on their official site that DT is one of his influences....

    lawl. lrn2havenobias

  • Some fekin awesome song... crazy time signitures.

  • i fucking love this song

  • Dwarven thank God you're back! :D

  • DANGER, If you a fan of odd time signatures and powered progressions this song is THE ! EMBODIMENT of progressive music. Just listing to the first 3 seconds is worth it. Oh progressive music how I adore thee

  • @Dans6Strings

:) Mats' musical ability on guitar is so incredible. The reationship between the keyboard and the guitar in this song is enough to make a grown man cry.

  • This song has to be played with good speakers and ALOT of bass!!!!!! Nice post Dwarf, Thanks

  • Hum...I've been listening to this song more and am really enjoying everytime. This song has been stuck in my head. Progressive metal is kinda funny because it's almost impossible to remember it in your head though because it's everywhere and its complexity. It makes you need to listen to it :)

  • Hum...I like this :) Would this be classed in the progressive section or heavy?

  • I'd say progressive, alot like Dream Theater.

  • circus maximus is a progressive metal band

  • @MetalMajestie It's progressive, indeed. Progressive metal.

  • @MetalMajestie the genre is called progressive metal :p
