Kein verdammtes Schwein braucht in Wien einen Hauptbahnhof!!! Als ob der Südbahnhof so schlecht gewesen wäre... Man hätt nur ein einziges Mal mit dem Kercher durchgehen müssen und er hätte wieder wie neu ausgeschaut!

Danke und Gratulation! Ein wunderbares Video, das die Atmosphäre von "Süd-Ost" absolut stimmig widerspiegelt. Der Abriss dieses Architekturdenkmals ist eine Schande - pfui!Umso versöhnlicher ist das melancholische yiddische Musikstück. Black Box und Yello habe ich erkannt, aber wer singt dieses wehmütige Volkslied???

It´s a Yiddish Song "Moishele, Mein Friend"

This song ostensibly harkens to a time of sweet memories during a bittersweet time. It is beautifully done and asks the perennial question, "where has my youth gone?" and what became of my friends? The song retains its poignancy and popularity today because it really asks....where are my parents, my sisters, my brothers, my aunts, uncles, cousins .....where are my people?

I have nice memories at Südbahnhof, but it is a damn ugly building like many other after war buildings from the fifthies. It's good that Vienna gets a brand new station and it learns to the Viennese people that change is good and healthy!

many people think this station is really ugly and finally it disappear. it´s good to know that there is one fan of the old station. Have you any emotional relation to it?

I like old things :) .I saw many other stations, which are in worse state than Südbahnhof. I think that the station operates(ed) very well. Naturally, I am not a commuter, so perhaps i don't know about the problems. And finally, it was the first time i have been to Wien, when i saw this station :) . I think this is a very emotional relation :) .

@Murphistic: yes there will be a special event but it wont be broadcasted... officially its just for employees but guests are allowed ;)

Wer den Wiener Südbahnhof noch einmal perönlich erleben will, der muss sich beeilen. Am 13. Dezember fährt der letzte Zug ab und damit geht ein Stück Wien zu Ende. Der Countdown hat begonnen...

I was in Wien this summer.I arrived to Wien Südbahnhof-Ost :). It is a very beautiful station. I'm a little bit sad,because it seems that only once i could see it :(. Will be somethying special event on 13th December and even better broadcasted over the Internet?
