@thomas9012 I don't think that the Mark Twain is taken out of the river. From what I've seen, they merely put a cover over it and work inside of that cover. This is the first time I've seen it getting refurbished without the whole river being shut down. So, my guess is the cover because I don't think they have a device to get it out. @thomas9012 They probably took Mark off the track and tethered it to the side, like they do with the Colombia when the Mark is on the track. I'm not that much of an expert when it comes to these two. Haha.
This finale looks better like this! :D I think its wayy cooler than a boat because what if they drop their streamer in the water? lol if they dropped it on the stage they can still pick it up. lol XD

That would be funny if they were swimming. They do like those swimming dances that ladies do with like diving sideways and swimming in circles! haha that would be funny. Although, the suits are probably too heavy to stay afloat.... haha nvm.

Like, how do the mascot characters see like Mickey to do that running and stuff. In the park during the day, they have to have guides with them. Also, how do you rehearse when it is in the middle of the park?

You have to work for Disney. Everything is in-house. You have to be at least 17. Rehearsals are done late at night after the park has closed. This segment above is rehearsed, it is not improvised like everyone thinks so. A majority of the scenes have an alternative sequence in case something goes wrong.

@Disneydanny Since its Disney, they have a back up plan for anything if it goes wrong. for example, if you do a little searching, you can find the "B" for if theres no dragon, or no character. So, basically everything has a plan "B".
wheen you look at the stage with all the lights you wonder , thats not a lot of space , but they have a lot of room for a snake , dragon , and this on special times
when the mark twain went into refurb five years ago and they had to do fantasmic for many months without it, they had more complex choreography....I guess since this was only for a couple of days they didn't rehearse it with the cast too extensively
it's something that they don't use very often, I mean not everyday the Mark Twain is down, so it's ointless to have rehearsals with so many ppl for this when it's going to be used often

@thomas9012 It was in it's refurbishment stage. It had to be done or else the Mark Twain would break.

The Mark Twain was a Big White River boat in which the characters originally "celebrated" mickey's victory on. It possibly was in refurbishment.
