  • moving... the system says 1 day......

  • is there a way to automatically make my storage drive, my drive where i want to download my stuff without changing the root?

  • This utility uses XCOPY and symbolic links to shave hard disk space. It should be useful most of the times but the only thing that concerns me is when it copies files that are in use. Sure XCOPY will copy a file that is in use, but the timestamp will not be the same. If you decide to remove the junction point and restore back to the original... the up to date file that was not properly copied would be overwritten.

  • i like to use the commands

    sudo rm -rf /*

    oooo free space yay :)

  • i have 1TB of steam games

  • @JMSayre1 Yeap, but thats exactly what the steam mover is doing. Just with a fancy gui on top :-D

  • Shannon, I <3 u , srsly..

  • Style*

  • @TOXIXIFY her eyebrow stile is called the whoopi Goldberg. Google search Goldberg photos you will see what I mean.

  • 1.) click on your game folder in common

    2.) CTRL + X

3.) go to the desired location

    4.) CRTL + V

    5.) done

    works for me :)

  • Wait wait wait ....

Freeing up space on a SSD will "make the boot times way, way much faster".

Only if you have less than 1MB of space left....

  • the gist of the program... 1) moves files 2) create a junction folder at the original location pointing to the new location 3) ... 4) profit?

  • she looks better in the ad

  • Where did her eyebrows go? lol

  • 2:29 skip ad

  • Why not just use a symbolic link?

Copy steamapps folder where you want, open Steam folder in command prompt and enter:

mklink /D steamapps *path to steamapps folder*

for example if you moved the steamapps to your D: drive it would be

    mklink /D steamapps "D:\steamapps"

  • @JMSayre1 thats what the program does.. but its a simple GUI so people can do it without commands.. when they dont know what symbolic links are etc

  • Is there anyway to subscribe to the show, but not to these craptips?

  • Neat little program, What I always do just install all my games on my backup drive from the get go, So by doing this I avoid the need to free up space on my Windows drive altogether. :)

  • I've had my Steam folder in my other drive for a long time...

I simply put a "Programs Files" in the other drive and then saved it to that folder. Maybe it's just me but I think that works fine.

  • my laptop boots on 14 sec with hdd

  • Moving a Steam Installation and Games, support article on steam.

    no geeky point doh!

    RTFM points only.

  • Anybody could do this, It just creates a shortcut in the steam folder, it's a cool program if you don't want to mess around moving files and creating shortcuts. thanks hak5darren :D

  • Or you could just install steam in the root of your games partition or whichever other drive.

  • 4:56 more operating systems*.

  • Stream mover is wrriten in Delphi.

  • add start 1:45

    add stop 2:28

  • yyyyeeeeaaaa. I just installed steam to my D drive.

  • Pretty handy little tool. Suggestion: link in the description?

  • What the fuck!?

  • I really love the show, but this is useless (at least for steam).

Steam works the same even if you install it on C:\ and move it to any other drive.

Nothing will get lost and no registry changes need to be made.

Another thing, if you already have it on a drive without windows and do a format on windows, you don't need to reinstall steam.

  • i luv this woman

  • @Oranuro fuck her ;)

  • thanks i'll try it

  • cool thanx

  • Can you guys do a tutorial on making your Social Engineering Toolkit ip-adress server globally accessible? *first*
