no I think its around 700hp , that car with 2jz engine did 9.7@145 so its so fast , that evo is missing a good driver and you can see how was he shifting he doesnt know how to drive @sajsed2
his car was a stock evo messed up from him learning how to drive stick and racing. clutches wear out in high performance cars all the time it doesn't mean it has to be replaced with a aftermarket one that is a FACT and if you have friends working on your car for u the price your gonna pay is also gonna be lower that is a fact also! i always like hearing stories about ppls cars being fucked up by friends who " work" on cars when shit breaks there not responsible to fix it and that is also a FACT
@bronxborn243 My comment to you was you gave out the wrong price. I just talked to RC Hill(a mitsubishi dealership) The cost for a stock clutch replacement with all fluids and labor 1575.00 plus tax. Not 3 to 4 grand like you posted.
@localtoys73 Not all Mitsu Dealers are the same. I even had clutch shops quote me at 3 grand for a OEM clutch. Price varies. A shop that does them regularly will charge less obviously. I did my own Evo 9 clutch and it took me 5 days working 4 hours a day with a FULL write up on how to change it. Evo clutch jobs are not easy if you haven't done them before.
where was this race heading towards Orlando ? and in regards to the evo guy shifting it cost about 3-4 thousand dollars to change the clutch in those my buddy had one and raced it shit his pants when he saw how much it would be and sold it

@bronxborn243 why would you go to the dealership to get a quote for an aftermarket clutch? I rebuilt my tripple for 1250.00 brand new and it was put in for 400.00. It will hold over 700tq.

I own a high hp evo have many freinds with evos work on evos. I know what it does cost and does not cost. That is a FACT.

Someone school me real quick. So the Evo was faster though, right? Sounds like it was getting raped due to shifting. ( I understand thats part of the race, but curious ) If it was a fifth gear roll ( I know, who does that.) the evo would've won, right ? I'm a Nissan head, but that Evo impressed me with that crazy acceleration it had in the beginning.
@NerdOsiris At the boost level the 240 was at in the video, I would say the evo would have won with a better (faster shifting) driver. But like you said, shifting is a big part of the race ;-)
