I got a reply to my earlier comment on this video mentioning magazine laws, some guy saying pistols are useless and only good for self-defense and hi-cap mags are only useful for killing people. I didn't bother replying. I just think the magazine capacity laws are pointless, I've never wanted to kill anybody, and if I had a pistol that could hold 15 rounds instead of 10, would I go on a killing spree? All the people who don't make sense

the US military used to be opposed to velcro, now they are all for it. times have changed. experiment with different types of gear and see what works for you. ALICE is good gear but "i think" MOLLE is even better, but then maybe you feel comfortable with another set-up.
I dont know if the velcro straps would really be a con. If you have to reload then unstrapping velcro shouldnt be the sound that gave away your position, ya know?

I've had good and not so good luck with parts guns. If you know alittle something about AR's you'll do better or atleast have someone that can help in case you have a problem. I haven't had a problem with mixed matched uppers and lowers. They usually function fine. Good Luck~

I've been looking for a tactical vest. Most of the vest, online were around $200. That price is a little more then I can spend. Good advise, Im going to look for some surplus mag pouches for now. I would never use a rifle for home defense. My shotgun has 5 in the tube and 5 on the stock and unless the whole neighborhood is cumming over to rob me that should be enough.

I'll have to see what I can come up with. One thing you can do is get the old 20 rd M-14 mag pouches and a pistol belt. That will atleast get you started. You could even attach those to a mole vest.

Great vid man. I'm saving up for a really durable "assault rifle" I got my SKS but I want something a little smaller if I'm going to use it and rely on it for defense. I'm definitly getting one of those Army issued mag holders.
I just bought my first AR-15. It's a Daniel Defense DDM4V2. So far I'm in love with it, and it seems very accurate and reliable. The AR has the versatility of no other weapon system, unlimited configuration options.
Please don't get me wrong, I have an Air Soft AR-15 and Glock that I train with.... plus I love Paintball. It's fun and can also be good training. Thanks Bro~

I bought two brand new army molle ll desert camo ruck sack system's for 80.00 4 brand new camel back desert camo 3liter mule's 100.00! I combined all these into one Bug Out Survival Pack System. I'll ditch the main pack and hike out with two mules!

that lbv (load bearing vest) is great i was in the usmc and have had one it will get the job done.i have seen combat but i did not use the lbv. i took the mag pouches off and weaved them through my flack jacket worked a little better had 12 mags lots of ammo.
If I had limited funds, I'd go with the AK-47 or SKS rifle in that order and plenty of ammo. A 12 ga shotgun would also be a good choice (870 Rem or 500/590 Mossberg) but the range is limited. A Ruger Mini-14 would also be a good choice. There are many other choices but that's just my picks. Thanks~
Dawgz...try to get an SKS (7.62x39 AK clone). Theyre fairly tough and reliable for the money. Look for an older one that accepts 30 rd mags.( newer ones have been legally neutered to fixed magazine).
If you get one with a wooden 'hunting' style stock install an aftermarket Tapco stock. The SKS with the blade or spike bayonet is a plus.
Get at least 6 magazines, stock up 1k rounds decent quality ( avoid wolf or bear, but accept if thats all you can afford) and wait for that rainy day.LLTR
BrainDawgzz yea, if you cannot afford an AR15 the kel-tec su16c is a good budget choice. One MAJOR PLUS is that it uses standard AR mags. Thats the biggest downside to mini-14's that use proprietary mags.

I've had good and not so good luck with parts guns. If you know alittle something about AR's you'll do better or atleast have someone that can help in case you have a problem. I haven't had a problem with mixed matched uppers and lowers. They usually function fine. Good Luck~

I find most of my surplus gear at gun shows or Ebay. You can get some real deals if you watch. I found a number of Specialty Defense 3 mag pouches for about half price. Thanks Bro~

I've been looking for a tactical vest. Most of the vest, online were around $200. That price is a little more then I can spend. Good advise, Im going to look for some surplus mag pouches for now. Got myself a SOT TAC-Force cross draw vest that has 3x2 M16 pouches and 3 pistol mag pouches, has a MOLLE back for around $120.

I would never use a rifle for home defense. My shotgun has 5 in the tube and 5 on the stock and unless the whole neighborhood is cumming over to rob me that should be enough.

thanks for making this as alot of us think i got my rifle ammo and mags i am all set. getting the gear to or from the "action" and hydration are things that i had on the back burner. i was to focused on getting ammo and forgot about transporting everything

I'll have to see what I can come up with. One thing you can do is get the old 20 rd M-14 mag pouches and a pistol belt. That will atleast get you started. You could even attach those to a mole vest.

Hi sootch i love your video's, i just take issue with one thing, you mention sheep dog in the parameters of the law. i as well as nutnfancy disagree with that, i always carry a concealed handgun illegally my state doesnt issue permits, i have 30 rd Ar mags 15rd are the most i'm "allowed" to have. my point being laws against the second amendment are not laws and can be broken, if you can please explain your point of view and why you differ from mine, it would be appreciated

I bought two brand new army molle ll desert camo ruck sack system's for 80.00 4 brand new camel back desert camo 3liter mule's 100.00! I combined all these into one Bug Out Survival Pack System. I'll ditch the main pack and hike out with two mules!

that lbv (load bearing vest) is great i was in the usmc and have had one it will get the job done.i have seen combat but i did not use the lbv. i took the mag pouches off and weaved them through my flack jacket worked a little better had 12 mags lots of ammo.

If I had limited funds, I'd go with the AK-47 or SKS rifle in that order and plenty of ammo. A 12 ga shotgun would also be a good choice (870 Rem or 500/590 Mossberg) but the range is limited. A Ruger Mini-14 would also be a good choice. There are many other choices but that's just my picks. Thanks~

Dawgz...try to get an SKS (7.62x39 AK clone). Theyre fairly tough and reliable for the money. Look for an older one that accepts 30 rd mags.( newer ones have been legally neutered to fixed magazine).
If you get one with a wooden 'hunting' style stock install an aftermarket Tapco stock. The SKS with the blade or spike bayonet is a plus.
Get at least 6 magazines, stock up 1k rounds decent quality ( avoid wolf or bear, but accept if thats all you can afford) and wait for that rainy day.LLTR

BrainDawgzz yea, if you cannot afford an AR15 the kel-tec su16c is a good budget choice. One MAJOR PLUS is that it uses standard AR mags. Thats the biggest downside to mini-14's that use proprietary mags.
