It was bullshit to call it "Heaven and Hell". The compilation album was called "Black Sabbath", so so should Neon Nights/Radio City/Devil You Know. Iommi was just scared to death that Ozzy was going to sue him.

Ozzy & Dio are both fucking awesome. I really can't say who's my favorite, listening to "Fairies Wear Boots" & "Neon Knight" I just can't say who I like better. I am so honored that my first concert was Machinehead, Megadeth, and Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell). I was 10 years old having the privilege to see the amazing performer and rocking vocalist that Ronnie had been. And I will always be able to say that. Even if I am 90 years old and cant remember most of my life, that will be the one thing I never forget.
When you think about it, Sabbath would have lost a lot of credibility today and been stuck as a great 70's band like purple or zeppelin... but for Dio, who has taken them to 2010 and beyond

@MetalkingDio Vinny and Jimmy were along for free rides with Ronnie and Vivian. Dio, the band, never had a noteworthy rhythm section. While Holy Diver is a classic and great album, it's overall musicianship does not stand up against Ozzy's first solo albums Blizzard and Diary. This is because Ozzy had 3 monster players in his band (4 with Don Airy.) Dio....well, he had Vivian. You can insult me and disagree, but you'll be wrong.

But now that these rock gods are dying, Gary Moore, Dio, and etc newer musicians too, like The Rev from Avenged Sevenfold! Metal is litterally dying here! Although Ozzy's work is classic stuff, the band with Dio is far better lyricaly and musicaly, and there for definatley deserves to fly under it's on "FLAG"

I am so honored that my first concert was Machinehead, Megadeth, and Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell). I was 10 years old having the privilege to see the amazing performer and rocking vocalist that Ronnie had been. And I will always be able to say that. Even if I am 90 years old and cant remember most of my life, that will be the one thing I never forget.

While Holy Diver is a classic and great album, it's overall musicianship does not stand up against Ozzy's first solo albums Blizzard and Diary. @janderson2000 Funny how you mention Rudy Sarzo, while he might not be the greatest bass player in Hard rock and Metal, the guy is a legend who has had the oportunity to play with the best in the business ( Quiet Riot, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Dio) Not many bass players has had that luxury. A Cuban/american legend in metal, just like Tico Torrez (Bon Jovi) and Dave Lombardo (Slayer)

@atomnevil Mob Rules drumming is VERY mediocre. And the drumming to the song, "Over and Over" is terrible. Heaven and Hell drumming is excellent. Listen to "Lonely is the Word" to hear Bill show how it's supposed to be done. You don' t have the musical insight to tell the difference.

@janderson2000 .... well again... thats just your stupid opinion! while i might not be an expert technically, i do can tell the diffrence in music and Vinny appice is a great drummer and Mob Rules is an exceptional Sabbath album!!! there is no need to do any comparison. Bill ward with out a doubt is a hell of a drummer, but then again his solo stuff sucks!! Not to mention that the reason why he would not do the Heaven & Hell proyect was cuz of the extensive touring, which proves that he is DONE!
