@Overkilla72 Playing the piano is somehow wasteful compared to behaving like a monkey on the playground? Don't be jealous just cause she spent her childhood doing something that can amaze people and you didn't :P
@Overkilla72 playing piano its not wasting childhood .. seriously , form which point is that wasting ur childhood ... if u enjoy playing it then its not wasting ur childhood ..
@calvinblinkee It's not boring. Only people with real imagination and appreciation would understand the beauty of true music. I know you're a person with both of these. :) Listen harder. And this time, use your heart. I'm sure you'll appreciate it :)
But she is 6 ! Shuldn't she play with other children barbie or smt. like that ? Well yes she is amazing and she has a brig talent but honestly she is 6 and she have to be a child. When you understand iit, it´s mybe to late and she is to old. But very very good :)
She completely missed the staccato in the third measure of line three, the affrettando in the seventh, and let's not even mention the crescendo in line twelve.
Little miss "I Think I Can Play Piano" needs to go back to the practice room.
@MrDanielPida Needs to go back to the practice room? She has not had nearly enough time to perfectly master this, as most musicians spend twenty years or more in the "practice room". Everyone makes mistakes; we're not robots, you can't expect a six year old to do everything perfectly.
@MrDanielPida Actually, I understood your comment perfectly, as I've been a violinist for almost seven years now. I might not have experience with pianos, but musical terms are definitely understood. If you didn't mean what you said, you would feel no need to stand behind it. Nice try.
@MrDanielPida Oh OK. Well, I looked it up: "a rushed, nervous accelerando, hastily increasing the tempo in an impatient manner." Doesn't sound like Mozart would write that unless it was in one of his musical jokes.
Very clever for a young child, Technically very competent. But lacking in true musicianship. Good on her. But I feel the 'creative' is sadly lacking. A musician, even at this young age would be placing interpretations on the music.
Given time, patience, and much practice inevitably anybody could play this piece or any piece of music for that matter. However, it’s the ability to ‘compose’, I’ll repeat once again ‘COMPOSE’, great music that makes Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin standout, not there playing skills.
Mozart was more than a ‘musician’ he was a ‘composer’. This young girl is a very talented ‘musician’ for her age and one day, if she wills it, she could probably be another great ‘composer’ as Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin were. The word ‘prodigy’ is used way to loosely these days. If someone starts to play a few notes on guitar, piano, flute, etc., people term that they could be a ‘prodigy’. Just like Mozart, a ‘prodigy’ stands out amongst his/her peers.
You know what made Mozart stand out from his peers? It wasn’t just his incredible ability to ‘mimic’ others’ music in his many recitals that he performed around his region during his youth. No, it was the fact that he could write, albeit at a very, very young age, memorable and lasting pieces that are still revered to this very day. Hence the ability to write majestic music other than just parroting it is the huge difference between a ‘musician’ and a ‘composer’.
Before I digress I would like to point out that this cute little girl has real potential and she played very well. Now to wonder into the depths of others ignorance’s; people who think because this talented little girl is ‘Asian’ is the sole reason for her talent, then tell me what race was Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin? Asian? No.Asian, Caucasian, African, it doesn’t matter what ethnicity you are. Music is unbiased; it does not take sides and it is not racist.
Judging from her mother’s blog written in Japanese, she is enjoying her own childhood.
She has the lessons of valley, violin by her own will and enjoys overseas sightseeing with her family. She is nine years old now, and you can see how she is enjoying to play piano herself in these sites.

Wow great, I'm learning this piece right now. I can finish it, but this lacked a bit tempo and a little bit more expression. The difference between dynamics e.g. piano and forte were not there.
Actually this is not a very hard piece for someone that young. My guess is that some "americans" can learn something from "asian" parenting and values... "White" kids can play as well but many chose baseball instead...
what u don't know is...Many of this "talent" kids are juz wasted in Asian education system....I can play Paganini when I am 8 years old. But I'm forced to give up my favarouble violin when I get older, since what the education wants is a good tester, not a musical instrument player...We all slaves of the test-based schools...
@90Lyka What's sadder is that they refuse to integrate this kind of music into student lives. Mozart, Beethoven, Bach have all been proven to improve cognitive abilities and raise test scores.
Good for you little girl, in a little over two minutes you made many realise they have wasted their lives....mostly by spending too much time watching youtube ironically.
@alroy67 So true. Makes me realize why I'm so reluctant to play my piano after many years since taking lessons as a child. So many 5 and 6 year olds play better than I can at this point. Interesting that most seem to be Asian. I think American parents are too reluctant to expect excellence from their children. Too much emphasis on sports and not enough on music, which I just feel is so much more important. My personal opinion.
