This young girl is a very talented ‘musician’ for her age and one day, if she wills it, she could probably be another great ‘composer’ as Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin were. The word ‘prodigy’ is used way to loosely these days. If someone starts to play a few notes on guitar, piano, flute, etc., people term that they could be a ‘prodigy’. Just like Mozart, a ‘prodigy’ stands out amongst his/her peers.

But I'm forced to give up my favarouble violin when I get older, since what the education wants is a good tester, not a musical instrument player...We all slaves of the test-based schools...

Interesting that most seem to be Asian. I think American parents are too reluctant to expect excellence from their children. Too much emphasis on sports and not enough on music, which I just feel is so much more important. My personal opinion.
