It is extremely unnatural for a horse to move like that and that much underneath itself. Also, that horse did not have the ability to lift itself up higher. His/Her legs were too far under himself/herself to do so without being injured. I have seen it happen before. It is a good thing this horse did not try to push himself up higher off his/her hind legs.

im pretty sure the horse is fine and is not hating what is happening if you can't tell the people are not forcing him if you can't tell the have a loose rein on the horse the entire time the horse is.. 'dancing' and as soon as he gets a cue that he's done he walks off just fine without a swish of the tail in annoyance, he's also not swishing his tail (consistently) in annoyance while it's happening. he's not being constrained by the ropes on his head (as in their not pulling his head in

Does this looks like this horse likes it? No. Why are humans doing this? They like it to see the pain in their eyes. I think you've got to do the exact same to those people. This is not normal!!!
There is no question about this, that horse is in obvious pain, he's shaking from the tension, his hose is pulled in (if it's by himan hands or if he does it on his own 'cause he learnt that it doesn't hurt as much when you do that I cannot see) and hind legs are not supposed to go that way. You can make a horse dance, and it can be happy while doing it, but this is not a happy horse and I can not call that dancing...

This horses tendons look like they are interfered with. It looks a little like dressage. Dressage was a military form of equestrian training. The movements were developed for ease of movement on the battlefield. I have trained a horse to do passage, piaffe and levad. I used no such cruelty and I was attentive to what my horse could handle. I'm going by what I can see here and I am not saying every dancing horse is treated this way, but most of what I have seen I would not agree with.
if it were the bit its ears would be back and he'd toss his head like mad. no ropes pulling his legs either, and if lippizanners can do tricks these horses can to its called training get over it!
That horse looks very well taken care of and the handler patted him for a job well done. The horse knew its job and was ready before he was to start dancing. You people should chill.

@Saartje05 Yes, I can see the whip being used against the GROUND and not the horse. You're getting blind, go check your eyes. And the man doesn't pull the reins AT ALL, he just holds them. The horse bends its neck on its own, because of the position its dancing in. You can see that very well if you actually look. I don't know where you're looking when you watch the video, but you sure can't see if you think he whips the horse. You must be getting old and your eyesight is getting worse too.
@CloudStrife2014 FIRST second. If you don't see the guy pulling the bit out of the horse's mouth you must be totally blind. It's so clear it's scary. Start the video and immeidately use pause, again, first second. And you can see him use the whip against the horse's belly. You don't want to see it do you?

@horsesaremylife31899 horses don't just go injure people if they don't like something. Horses kick to protect themselves, and the man probably did it the wrong way or got angry when the horse didn't understand what he wanted. It's not easy teaching an adult horse how to do this, you have to start from young age and it take a lot of time and patience to teach them dance, it's not just 1-2-3 and there it dances.

There is no question about this, that horse is in obvious pain, he's shaking from the tension, his hose is pulled in (if it's by himan hands or if he does it on his own 'cause he learnt that it doesn't hurt as much when you do that I cannot see) and hind legs are not supposed to go that way. You can make a horse dance, and it can be happy while doing it, but this is not a happy horse and I can not call that dancing...

This horses tendons look like they are interfered with. It looks a little like dressage. Dressage was a military form of equestrian training. The movements were developed for ease of movement on the battlefield. I have trained a horse to do passage, piaffe and levad. I used no such cruelty and I was attentive to what my horse could handle. I'm going by what I can see here and I am not saying every dancing horse is treated this way, but most of what I have seen I would not agree with.

The horse bends its neck on its own, because of the position its dancing in. You can see that very well if you actually look. I don't know where you're looking when you watch the video, but you sure can't see if you think he whips the horse. You must be getting old and your eyesight is getting worse too.

Horses kick to protect themselves, and the man probably did it the wrong way or got angry when the horse didn't understand what he wanted. It's not easy teaching an adult horse how to do this, you have to start from young age and it take a lot of time and patience to teach them dance, it's not just 1-2-3 and there it dances.
