everyone says this is the best 2d sonic, so i thought i would pick it up, as i really enjoy 1,2,3 and sonic and knuckles, but this is probably my least favourite, too slow and confusing!
I would of commented earlier but I just came all over my screen and keyboard. So glad this is happening. Probably my favourite sonic game (most nostalgic anyways) other than sonic and knuckles. Thankyou sega after a decade you are starting to listen to your fans with generations and now this!
Meh, tried playing this on an emulator a few times. The vertical level structuring and fucked up time mechanic made it a snorefest. Also the music is awful in both versions.
@JohtochampDS100 You can play Sonic Gems Collection on Wii, and when the 3DS gets hacked, you'll be able to play Sonic CD on it or Sega will release Sonic CD on the 3DS in 3D, which ever come first.

This generation of gaming is trying really hard to get me to drop my old systems but I won't let it. For me is a wonderful system and I'm going to keep it.

But what do I know. I've never played CoD. My all-time favorite FPS is the Serious Sam franchise.

And FPS makes or breaks a game, and CoD does hell of a lot better job than other franchises just because of its simple, yet good to look at visuals to get high FPS, helping it have the fast-paced, Arcadey shooter it has.
CoD is a great franchise; just that it's being milked to all hell doesn't mean it's shit. SMG 2 for example.

Who cares about the "gritty visuals" when the enemies are just like they were before. 4. It only has regenerating health if you play it on the easiest difficulty. I play it on normal.

@supersonicelerizo1 Use bing rewards, doing most of the offers will bring you to about 70-80 points. Next use the refer a friend offer(which will earn you 25 points if someone joins bing using your link) by copying your referral link on a notepad, sign out of the 75 point account, clear history and join bing rewards again using your referral link and a new email address, repeat process 2 more times then go back to the main account to get ms points, 125 bing points =100 ms.
I highly doubt this uses more memory than say OoT, I know the FMVs take up a fair amount of space but apart from that the game uses 2D graphics OoT one the other hand is fully 3D which takes up more space then a 2D game.
@CornishCreamtea07 I'm looking at a rip of the game right now, it's 540MB. OoT is about, what, 50MB or less? Redbook audio takes up enormous amounts of space.

I suggest you go look up whats different... because theres a lot, the trailer even shows most of it. Sonic 2 physics option, sound track selection. Sonic 2 spindash option, the fact it's built and redesigned so it'll run on an HD TV. The list goes on and on.

@supersonicelerizo1 Use bing rewards, doing most of the offers will bring you to about 70-80 points. Next use the refer a friend offer(which will earn you 25 points if someone joins bing using your link) by copying your referral link on a notepad, sign out of the 75 point account, clear history and join bing rewards again using your referral link and a new email address, repeat process 2 more times then go back to the main account to get ms points, 125 bing points =100 ms.

let me repeat this. this is not a mega cd game. this "port" of sonic cd was built from scratch.
I heavily doubt even the original with just ONE soundtrack could fit under nintendo's imposed download size limit, so there's no chance this would.
in all likelihood, sega tried to get this on wiiware but failed because of the size limit. oh well!

I highly doubt this uses more memory than say OoT, I know the FMVs take up a fair amount of space but apart from that the game uses 2D graphics OoT one the other hand is fully 3D which takes up more space then a 2D game.

A more calm responce would have been, yes they are unreleated, however when you consider how forced the PR is to get us to accept that this is a prequel to Sonic 4, and that you have an object there which is in the same design as Sonic 4... it really does beg the question why.

Besides, like I said, it's completely unrelated. Sonic CD is pretty much non-canon, really. In fact, Sonic 1>Sonic 2>CD>Sonic 3 and Knuckles/Sonic 4, so it doesn't work in any way, shape or form.

I suggest you go look up whats different... because theres a lot, the trailer even shows most of it. Sonic 2 physics option, sound track selection. Sonic 2 spindash option, the fact it's built and redesigned so it'll run on an HD TV. The list goes on and on.
