  • How large is this qvga 3.5 or is it 5.7 inch or something else?

  • Holy shit!! This is awesome! I am just learning to use an AVR, new to microcontrollers, and Im just about able to light an LED. This is insane stuff man, how do you do it? I plan to learn to control and LCD in a while, but Im sure this takes a lot more than just that...

  • The STK1000 kit he is using has just everything , it has even a micro linux kernel , I think he has uploaded some port of DOOM which is being played in this video, much like a normal PC , nothing fancy.

  • i know you posted this 7 months ago, but i went to radio shack and got a microcontroller kit for around 85 dollars, it was well worth the money to learn how to use the program on programming the PIC. i have 2 atmel ATMEGA8's sitting and waiting to become USB to a 15 pin D-SUB joystick controllers. good luck with yours!

  • if there a howto somewhere?

  • I'm not a big fan of that level.

Are you sure that's not the full game? There weren't any demos made of Doom II.

  • Not the full game :) But I think you can play demo wads with this port of lxDoom.

  • Hi,

This is very nice. Is this game part of the STK1000?

    Thanks

  • very cool

  • Nope this is HCE's video. It's a straight port of LxDoom AFAIK. I think the AVRFreaks forum may have some more info.

  • Hi,

Noticed that you had commented on my Super Mario Pong video, and thanks for the comment! Did you do the Doom implementation your self? Anyhow, cool video! :)

The STK1000 is a really fun kit to play with.

  • nice! do you have any instructions on howto?
