@alan021es They're not supposed to be safe, they're designed to stop vehicles, no more, no less. For example, they'd be used to stop a terrorist bomb car (or truck) getting to a government building. Hence the comment in the video about using sand as the payload instead of an 'explosive' material. As you can see these would be a heck of a lot more effective than a gate.
